OK, it looks like on early reports this will favor the Bears. Everyone like the Saints (at least most of the uniformed experts out there I have been reading and watching)...which means the Bears could be the pick. Also the weather in Chicago cannot favor a southern dome team. Watch those Bears this week!

Please update this thread you Bear fantatics with weather update that could helps here. right now it is 25 degree winds at 20ish and possible snow for Sunday. If it gets worse it could change this game. Still early so lets update!

Chicago people, what do you think of the weather? WIll it be a factor?

I am thinking a dome team is going to find it a little different in a January game in Chicago. I realize the Saints have played well on the road but this will be their stiffest test.

No disrespect, but I disagree that snow will favor the Bears. If conditions are severe enough either with snow and/or rain, the running game will be critical. The Bears have shown a recent prevalence to give up significant yardage on the ground. McAllister and Bush should be more then capable of hitting the holes opened up by the Saints offensive line. Meanwhile, the Bear running game is average at best even going up against a Saints defense that has given up it's share of yardage. Once the running game is established, suspect Brees will be able to be more successful in the air as he throws a tighter ball then Grossman who at times throws the ball all over the map. The play calling and skilled position players for the Saints are significantly superior to the Bears. Either team may win this game, but the weather doesn't favor the Bears.

There is no substitue for experience. Saints haven't played or practcied in this and I'm not sure Reggie Bush have ever seen snow in his life, let alone played in it.

You could be correct. But how many time in college and pro has Reggie Bush played in the snow? Or drew brees? Or even the cold? AS A TEAM Bears should be more familiar. Playing most of your games in domes will not help them tomorrow, I do not believe. Of course this is on paper. LOL. Grossman has been very shaky at times. Love these games.

OK, I'll bite as I am a firm believer that their is no sustitute for experience. Do you mind telling me which skilled players on the Bear offense are experienced in these conditions and that you expect to do damage to the Saints defense and why?

I'm telling you they've at least played in some freezing conditions, there was one snow game this year, a couple last year, they live in Chicago, they've been practicing outside. Saints players literally have not stepped foot in freezing conditions, let alone snow, all year. Like I said, I'm not sure Reggie Bush has ever seen snow.

Once again, no disrespect but believe you are focusing on a cold weather city versus a team that plays in a dome for half of it's games. That may work, but what I asked is what Bear skilled players will do offensive damage to the Saints defense and why? Whether Reggie Bush has ever played in the snow or not, doesn't mean he can't. Brees played at Purdue. McAllister is a north/south runner which in snow neutralizes linebacker reaction speed. Like I said, not making a prediction, just don't believe the weather favors the Bears which was the initial topic of this thread.

Berrian making a double moves going right past Fred Thomas. Bears can exploit this all day long. The snow actually makes this sort of play even more likely.
