At another forum, some are claiming that BetCris may go the way of Pinny on Monday. The reason they believe this is because people who have requested payouts prior to Friday deadline have been told that they would be processed on Monday instead. I am worried because I was one of those who requested a payout on Thursday but was told by a CR that they would wait til Monday to do it. The whole thing just smells fishy. I just hope not, I got too much money at stake..... This is exactly why I'm closing my accounts one by one..... the rumors and the unknown are keeping me awake at nights.

I'd get some sleep....my guess is that CRIS is facing the same payment processing issues as everyone else in the industry. I haven't heard anything about CRIS leaving the country and even if they did I seriously doubt they'd have any problems paying.

At this point nobody knows what is going on and when stuff is gonna happen. Cris may or may not shut down but if you have money stuck somewhere, them or WSEX is the best place to have it. I have a large rollover that I have to complete at Cris, hopefully get it done tomorrow, and then I am done with offshore like you.

That makes sense. Banks being closed on the weekends and all. Plus gives them a day or two to come up with a way to send funds.

I wouldn't be concerned with CRIS.

I think they are going to put some thought and research in this weekend to figure out what they need to do on the payment processing side with all the recent changes. It can't be easy.

I'm hearing CRIS is going to wait until after the Super Bowl and then stop doing post-up business with U.S. customers.

The problem is money transfers. It's getting to be too big of a headache.

Thanks guys for putting my mind a little at ease.

Even if they do close their doors on Monday, they are credible enough to go ahead and pay us, right?

I guess we'll find out on Monday..... this will be a loooooooooooooooong weekend for me.

CRIS will pay. No doubt whatsoever. Your money is safe.

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine in Costa Rica who's really tight with a number of guys high up the food chain at CRIS and DSI. They talk business pretty much on a daily basis, and he was with a bunch of them last night. He said that he hasn't heard so much as a peep about either book leaving the US market. Not even idle speculation about it. He said the primary focus right now is--not surprisingly--finding new payment options for their US client base. Obviously this can change at any moment but as of today CRIS doesn't appear to have a plan to leave the US market...

I don't see them closing. I transfered into CRIS today from 5D, and I'm not a big CRIS fan, but trust them to be around as much as any book.

Right now I have large balances in BetDon,BetCRIS and fairly large in BetJamaica and I can honestly say that I'm NOT worried about any of them

Is there any difference between Betdon and Wagerweb ? I'm trying to get back into WW, but haven't found a good funding method, and they don't seem to transfer with anybody.

These rumors spread quickly...I still have serious doubts CRIS would ever leave the US market.

My guy in Costa Rica noted that CRIS has a huge US client base and doesn't have the clients in Europe that other books (like Pinny) does. Getting out of the US market is something that they're not going to do just on a whim.

Forums like this have a real "copycat" nature...if someone starts a rumor on one side you can be pretty sure that it will have spread to others within a matter of hours. I bet I could start a rumor that George W. Bush had just opened a BoDog account and is having so much fun that he's issuing an excecutive order to make online gambling legal and that by morning at least one other site would have done their part to spread it...
