Every Monday Night at 7 pm.......

Am I reading this right that they are only taking 7% out for the tourney........or do they have some other rake that I'm not aware of?

If not, perhaps poker has finally arrived in the Tampa area.

Please, any info would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,

Also, what are the amount of starting chips one starts with and what are the blind structures/time intervals?

Thanks in advance,

Fish, do they have poker on the casino boats now?

On a few, yes.............and good games.

$5-10 NL on the SUNCRUZ

The STERLING, my favorite boat in Cocoa Beach, still does not offer poker.

The SunCruz is just to small, rocky, troublesome, and smokey for my liking.........even though the boat is a mere 10 minutes from my home.

The $70 is for registration only. Keep in mind that most tournaments take out 3% of the $1000 for dealers. But hey that is cool, it gets you off the hook for feeling the need to tip when you win.

My last win of $130,000 had the 3% taken out so I didnt feel the need to tip. I did give $600 to the pool dealer toke jar and that was about $500 more than the guy who won second and he won $52,000. I ONLY did that because I know the dealers really well as I play live action at that casino 2-3 days a week. Since the tournament, most of the dealers have came around and thanked me for the extra tip that really wasnt necc.

By the way, alot of tournies charge $1000 + 80. So you are saving $10 already

PO69--I realize this is how MOST casinos/tourneys are indeed done having played in numerous tourneys over the years..........however, the HARD ROCK SEMINOLE may not do it this way.

That is why I'm inquiring.

Went down to the HARD ROCK to get the lowdown.........

It was actually 1000+75..........and indeed the entire 1000 went into the prize pool.

Only 19 players in the tourney................paying the TOP 4 places.

Fish,

How are the cash games in Tampa? I am in FL every week Monday -Thursday for work.

I am spliting time between Orlando and Lakeland so a drive to Tampa would not be that bad from LL.

Horrible

$1-2 limits

A couple boats have some nice NO LIMIT games, such as the one out of TREASURE ISLAND.......but its very small, smokey, and rocky.........do not recommend.

players only i can guarentee the dealers probably were not being serious about thanking u for the extra $600...doubt they would be thrilled about a .1/19th percent tip....the 3% off the top is for dealers, cashiers, brushers, payouts, etc...an average tip on a $130,000 tourny win is around $4000....not knocking u players69 just letting u know what the average is....and i know now this will probably start a parade of posts from people that think they shouldnt tip, and dealers dont deserve tips, blah blah blah....but oh well

What do u mean by boats? I don't know much about FL... Is this like the river boats they have in KC or do u actaully have to be out on the water?

No, you have to travel out to sea for a good 45-60 minutes for the boats in Tampa............EACH WAY. Again, I do not recommend.
