I thought Bodog was offering a free wu withdrawal once a week. Did they stop this? The only withdrawal option on my account is a "money transfer."

Yea, JAYBIRD0711, when you go to the Payout page, and you press the link in this part, "To view a table of fees charged for additional payouts, click here."

You will see that they are talking about WU here. I'll do this w/d process in the next week, most likely, even though it would be my 1st time to use WU.

I checked and saw that it was WU. However it looks like they are charging a fee. I thought they were giving a weekly freebie???

Yeah, you did see it right in the 1st place. :103631605

"Funds can be paid out by Money Transfer if requested. Bodog will cover the transfer fees for up to one payout per week. To view a table of fees charged for additional payouts, click here."

When you request a payout via Western Union, once we have completed the transaction they
will send you an email with the MTCN number and the sender info. Please note it can take
approximately 24-72 hours for you to receive this information. The funds may then be
picked up from any Western Union branch; however, please remember that you will need
these items on hand for pick up:

- Sender Information (included in the payout email we will send you once your payout
has been processed)
- Control Code (also included in the payout email)
- Valid piece of Photo ID

We fully expect new methods to be coming on every day, and we will keep you abreast of
any new developments. Above all, be confident that we will continue to provide you with
a safe, secure place to play, with a wide variety of gaming options and industry leading
customer service.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
Customer Service

For those who are wondering, I'm now trying this money transfer option (via WU) to withdraw $3K from Bodog to see how it goes.

I just requested the payout at 1045 hours Eastern time. I would believe it will take them several hours to process this request so when I know more, I'll post again here.

BTW, I checked westernunion.com and see that I'm better off going to Giant's food store across my work rather than the corner 7-11 nearby. Since I'm requesting $3K, I am sure I'd be required to answer test questions whatever they are (as well as showing photo ID).

If you want the money in Cash you had better find a bank or make sure the grocery store will have that much cash. If you receive some in cash and the rest in checks...the checks will take 7-10 days to clear before they release the funds. I had a hard time trying to cash 5k via western union at the grocery store so I found a bank that does western union (1st nation bank in Texas does western union http://www.1stnb.com/en/ )

also be prepared to have a you SS card and Western Union will also ask what you occupation is in order to get the cash...GL

You might want to see if there is a check cashing location near you to use. Giant in my area would never be able to cash $3000 from WU and 7/11 certaintly cant. They might ask for your SS# as well when cashing it. I believe anything over $2500, you will need SS# for ID purposes.

Thanks, guys. I was wondering about whether I'll get cash or a check... looks like it's better if I ask for a check (or that Giant's will require me to accept a check instead). Then I can go to my bank to cash that check (yeah, I understand it'll be a couple of days before that check clears with WU/my bank).

Maxdemo, brilliant idea about searching for a bank that accepts WU.... I'll expand my search on WU.com "find location" to see what I can find. As for SS# and ID purposes, I have nothing to hide and report my earnings anyway. Just am hoping that it's not so many hurdles to jump through since this is 1st time to use WU ever. There are plenty of check-cashing locations around here since *ahem* this area has a high concentration of Hispanics, so I guess that's another option (thanks, Jacksorbetter).

Also, they will only print checks for $1000 a shot. If you go to Giant, they might be able to cash one and you can get checks for the other two dimes. You might also contact them beforehand and let them know you are expecting a 3k WU and see if they can cash it for you. They sometimes will hold off deposits knowing you are coming in. It doesn't hurt to ask.

I dont think there will be a problem... because my bank will see it's a check FROM Western Union, not from "a gambling establishment or affiliated bank". The UIGEA deals with banks having to block financial transactions that comes from banks/payment processors that has money from internet gambling.

Cashing a WU check cannot be determined whether it's from "my friend in Nevada owing me $3K" or actually from Bodog, ya know? I just do wonder if WU will still accept money from those overseas accounts in the future...

Another trick with WU withdrawals is to spread them around where you are getting them. For example, if you get todays withdrawal sent to Alexandria, VA - get the next one sent to Fairfax, VA or Rockville, MD. As long as you are in a connecting state, you can still pick up the money.

Great idea. Thanks for the FYI about $1k checks. I know I probably will be helping them if I took some cash & rest of them via a check. No problem for me. Since I'm deaf, I may bother to call Giant's via relay service later to let them know about the incoming 3k WU... I know it'd be great if they are aware of it in advance...

That's my plan. :103631605 I can pick it up here at work (outside Alexandria; Skyline area, Bailey's Crossroads to be very specific) and next time, use a place at Leesburg or Sterling or whatever as I have many options.

Just make sure when they ask you what your occupation is that you dont say Gambling...because they will stop the transfer and black list you...JMO

I had to cash (7x 5k) $35k in payouts last month and it was hell getting the money because they ask you the same info every time
