what's the formula to convert a moneyline to a percentage?..ie: -200 means the team should win 2/3 of the time..i can convert it,but i don't know formula?..

Add 100 to it then divide. 200 into 300 = 66.67 %

-300 fav is 75% 300 into 400

-400 400 into 500

Here's a link to an Excel spreadsheet I use that has the theoretical breakeven percentage for moneylines at different prices...if this is the info you're looking for let me know and I'll post the underdog version of the same sheet later this evening:

i can do that in my head, but i just need it in a formula form..400 and -400 equates to 80% also...just wanted to differentiate the -400 from 400...

I think it is:

Team A -450
Team B +400

Team A need to win > 81.8% ===== 4.5/(4.5+1)
Team B need to win > 20% ====== 1/(4+1)

And this, btw, is the genralized Excel formula for performing the conversion:

=IF(A1<0,A1/(A1-100),A1/(100+A1))
