So a couple nights ago, I was on BetJam figuring out some parlay options for a freeplay I had to use. I was planning on using Doug's 3-team 8-way parlay to assure a profit.

Anyway, so I enter three Overs to check out the payout, but instead of hitting the cancel button, I hit the submit one. Retarded, I know. I'm actually really good about not doing brain-dead shit like this.

But yeah, so realizing my mistake, I IMMEDIATELY called BetJam. I'm talking like within 15 seconds, I was on the phone with a customer service rep. I explained my fuck-up, and she went to go talk to a manager.

She then came back and informed me that one of the lines had changed by a 1/2 point, so that the wager couldn't be canceled. Needless to say, I was fucking pissed. It was only like $40, but it was a freeplay that I had earned, and obviously it was going to reduce my profit on the 8-way 3-teamer.

I ask to speak with the manager, and he tells me that there's nothing he could do. He said that once the line changes, the system literally won't allow him to cancel it. So I suggest that if the Bonus Play wins, he can just not credit my account with the $, and that if it loses, he can just credit me with a freeplay of the same amount. I really didn't see why this wouldn't work.

Of course, he said no, that it wasn't possible. He had no explanation as to WHY it wasn't possible, but just kept saying no, that there was nothing he could do...even though I was offering him a solution, something he COULD do.

Now, I'm not aware what the procedure is for this sort of thing, so maybe it really isn't possible. But I was pissed regardless. It didn't make sense to me, so fuck it.

Anyway...the 3-teamer won. So theeeesssseeeeeee nuuuuuutttttssssssssss.

I've never had problems with BetJam in the past, but I was still livid in this situation. Not anymore, though. Skeet. It was chump change to them, I'm sure, but I'm still happy. Fuck that shit.

For the record, I still like the place.

Just thought I'd share because I'm at work and clearly will do anything to avoid doing anything productive.

Basically, if you have a freeplay, you bet it on a combination of 3-team parlays with 3 O/Us in every combination...one of them is guaranteed to hit, so you assure yourself some $.

betjamacia canceled one of my bets for me once, after the bet had already lost.

I was trying to put in a NFL wager, but checked the first half line first. I hit the back button on internet explorer, changed to the full game and submitted my wager, but it still came up as the first half. It was my fault because I didn't check it before putting in my password to confirm, but they admitted it was a messup with their software.

It was only like $20, but made me pretty happy that they would take my word for it.

Skins my man, I changed the title a bit because Scotty and his BetJamaica crew have been very good to us here at The Rx. over the last 18 months or so. I hope you don't mind.

They deserve some props.. I hope to get everyone a free square in a BetJamaica super bowl pool next week..:toast:

Thanks, wil...

It's cool Wil...like I said, I've never had a problem with them before, and I'm sure they were in a tough position. I might not understand why they couldn't figure out a solution, but it's all good.

You could've at least left the "titties" part of the title, though...geez.

Karma is a biatch.

Had a sorta similar problem couple years ago at VIP. It was a monday night football game and I was running late. I even forgot who I was taking, but it was against BALT and I was laying 3. I was stoked that VIP took the bet 5 minutes after KO.....until I found out BALT ran the opening KO back for a TD.

Well, my bet ended up cashing in the end...yep that Karma is a motherfucer sometimes.

Skins,
it's almost like a round robin doing 3 O/Us, am I correct?

Yeah...you bet on three teams/O-U's that end in 1/2s...all 8 possible ways. One is guaranteed to hit.

Doug posted about it a while ago, I think. Plenty of threads on it, I'm too lazy to look.

Few years ago, I was down to $50 in my Betjm account so I put it all on the A's. Going to the bottom of the 9th, Rangers were up 7 or so and I was pretty much disgusted at another loss and contemplated quiting.

When I logged in to my account, I was surprised to see the $50 credited back. I had no clue why. I'm still not sure but I think it had to do with the bottom 9th being rained out or something.

I ended up turning that $50 in to $1500 in the next 2 weeks by winning something ridiculous like 15 straight games. All because they refunded my bet for no reason..... Betjm is definately a quality book.

If U Talk To Shayla

and whine enough, bonuses i.e. Bonus Plays can be worked out. Love her, Scotty and the whole CS part of the book. The betting dept. could use some work tho. Would play there over all others.

What happened was the bottom of the ninth was never played due to the freaking grounds crew never getting th tarp down while a downpour flooded the field, in OAKLAND! The reason I recall this so well, I had the over that day and lost my winning bet all because of this, there were like 22 runs scored ad the over was in by the 5th inning...it didn't even rain that long but they never bothered trying to play down 10 runs.

Sometimes one small $25 glitch can swing a bankroll thousands of dollars, I've seen it happen enough times.

Thanks for solving a big mystery for me. Up til now I had no idea what had really happened. All I saw was an "X" for Bottom 9th which was odd since they were losing and would've had to bat. Still it was nice of Betjm to refund my bet when they didn't have to.

I don't think they just refunded the bet, you must have had either the ML or the total, all those bets were cancelled since the bottom of 9 was never played.

Had A's ML. Since the bottom 9th was officially "rained out" wouldn't the rain rule apply? It was an official game so they would've gone back to the previous full inning to determine the final score. At least that's what I thought. No surprise total bet (& runline bet) would be canceled because they have to play full 9 innings (8.5 if home team is leading).

Jman is a walking sports encyclopedia. If there is ever anyone who could stump that bastard on espn, it might be him.
