I just have to keep telling myself it was a great year no matter what.

We've all been there Choppy. Pitchers and Catchers start in a few so you can start backing the Braves.

I just went through it in the NBA last season...Clippers finally get in and lose in Game 7 in Phoenix. No matter how great the season is, ending the season with a loss hurts and doesn't go away for several weeks.

Still a great run by New Orleans. They were not as bad as they played today...but it is obvious they are a dome team. Not physical enough to play in cold/bad weather.

Today was a perfect example in both games of why winning in the regular season to secure home field advantage is so important. I'm pretty sure if both games were played on opposite fields we would have 2 different winners in today's matchups.

Your team, who had absolutely ZERO expectations heading into this season, made it all the way to the NFC championship game and could've probably won it.

Keep things in perspective for fuck's sake, jesus christ.

When the Skins lost to Seattle last playoffs, I was disappointed...but I also realized that we were an incredibly flawed team who could've easily not made the playoffs. We won every game down the stretch to sneak into the playoffs, and then upset a team on the road in the 1st round, when we had ZERO offense.

At some point, you have to separate hope from reality. I hoped the Skins would beat Seattle, and thought they could. But the reality was that they weren't a very good team. You gotta be willing to take whatever you can get, shit is just icing on the cake at a certain point.

You gotta keep things in perspective. The Saints had a phenomenal year. Is losing today disappointing? Absolutely. But does it take anything away from what they did this season? Absolutely not.

So quit it with this shit. It was a magical year. Be upset for a little, then quickly get over it.

We're only a little over 2 months before Chop's preseason MLB thread...Saints had a great year Chop, the future is bright with those young weapons...that blocked punt seems like 5 years ago about now, the one vs Atlanta that sent this team on their improbable Journey.

I hope Joe Horn can comeback and get one shot at a ring.

Not to mention the Saints will be back to the playoffs next year barring an injury to Brees. A playoff loss is not as bad a feeling when your team has a lot of potential like the Saints do.

If you were a Colts fan and they had lost, that would be much worse. We all know their window was rapidly closing.

Keep the head up. Great season and you got a great coach. They can address the defense just a little bit and come back stronger. Often times, winning a championship takes a progression. Even MJ and the bulls had to suffer some losses to get to the pinnacle.

I'm thinking Donnie Moore....Chop, you had a great run, like you said earlier Super Bowls are in the future for the Saints, I just hope I'm alive to see one...

I feel great about todays game because the Eagles wouldn't have beaten the Bears either. I couldn't deal with another NFC Championship loss.
