Vick to Raiders for Moss, Porter and #1 pick in '07 draft?

If I'm Atlanta I do that in a second. Their best QB is sitting on the bench and you get a legit deep threat that can actually catch the ball...when he tries. Moss inside on turf, Porter is a solid #4, Shaub at QB, plus the first pick in the draft....makes a lot of sense for the ATL...and quite frankly, makes a lot of sense for the Raiders, being the Retards that they are.

would be a financial miracle if that would work.

The Falcons would take a $22.6 million cap hit to trade or release Michael Vick before June 1. If the Falcons wait until after June 1 to cut him, they'd save $6 million. It would be ridiculous to trade Vick because of the cap hit. Profootballtalk.com doesn't think either scenario is as likely as Atlanta trading Vick in early 2008 with a restructured contract.

I wouldn't trade the #1 pick for Vick if I were the Raiders...let alone 2 Pro Bowl caliber receivers. Moss and Porter need to be dealt...but I would think they could get a lot better in return than Vick.

Yes they could...but like I said before, it would be a miracle...I dont even think Al Davis would be dumb enough to do so...especially w/ how limited the Falcons' options are w/ Vick's explosive cap/salary hit. W/ as limited options Atlanta has - Oakland would have the bulk of negotiating power...and not have to give up a 1st rounder & Moss. If anything it would a Porter & restructured contract type of deal, imo.

You are talking about the man who just rehired...and refired Art Shell. Plus, I think they have no choice but to move Moss, his high contract no. and attitude are not going to be easy to get rid of.

This would be one of the dumbest things the Rayyyyders could do. Really grasping at straws since 2000.

With Al's demetia being on turbo, it wouldn't surprise me.

I get it now....I've been doing that alot lately, guess it's hard to admit when you get to 40! Al is starting to rub off on me.

Hey mods, can you change the title of this thread to say 07 draft?

I wish they could make that happen...that would take care of many problems on offense.

just breaking balls.

I can not believe it is 07 either, seems just like 3 days ago that the world was coming to an end with the millenium bullshit.

haha true...but trades are very rare in the NFL, especially high cap hit for high cap hit type of deals - they never happen. Only way you'll see Vick moved is after 2007 season...I dont know the specifics of Moss' deal - but he's also a top 3 payed at his position, and would be a huge cap hit as well (i would assume).

Only NFL trades are high contract guys (no pun intended), for draft picks or contract restructuring. Only in the NBA (or possibly MLB) would you see a Moss for Vick trade go through - as under the cap structures, you have to have salaries transferred equal out.

I mean - to trade Vick now would be, nothing short of stupid by the Falcons...a $22.6 Million cap hit is enormous, blockbuster type of cap hit...and i'm sure record breaking amount.

Finally ALL The Talking Heads

including Saldsbury (sp) who sucks Vick off @ least once a day are mentiong his time in At`l and his failure to absorb the O! I`ve been saying for 5 yrs this guy is a MORON also STUPID! He`s a good player, except he can`t pass. Dumb & inaccurate, other than that he`s a great QB. The MOST overrated player bar none in the NFL. But all the blacks love him, so to be PC the Saldsberrys of the world tagged along. Well the shit has finally hit the fan. He`s an ignorant fuc*er who is barely intelligible. He`d be in prison if not for foots! Thay ain`t gettin no angel in Randy either.

Jamarcus Russell is infinitely better than Vick..Al Davis is senile if he does this trade.

Moss and Porter are garbage..just like Vick..cancer for cancer.

I agree about NEVER sending a #1 for Vick (which is a HIGH #1, too)

That being said, Porter's value and Moss's value isn't that great. Doug Gabriel was supposed to be a decent player too ... but the Pats cut him because he just wouldn't do what he was supposed to .. will Porter or Moss do as asked? Not always.
