I used to have Tivo at my parents house and it was 10x better than this crap directv dvr. I have a big problem tonight though and its about to put me on life tilt. I have 3 shows which when I hit play it goes strait to delete/don't delete, obv i hit don't delete and it just keeps going back to that. The 3 shows its doing that are ones I watched while recording. I just tried Prison Break(which I didn't watch while it was recording) and it works fine. any ideas whats going

Mine has been acting weird lately too. I had the TIVO until about 3 months ago they replaced it with their DVR. Mine has been having a tough time just turning on at times. I have to unplug the damn thing and then it reboots. This passed week I was having to do it about every 3 days. I need to call them, but I'm going to give it another week and see how it goes. The last few days have been ok.

Reboot like everyone else said.

It doesn't sound like it's a problem with options being selected/deselected as far as I know. If a reboot doesn't solve, it may be a faulty DVR.

I worked for DTV in the call center a year or so ago and there wasn't anything that I know of to solve your problems other than a reboot. DTV will likely send someone out to fix it or replace it if the reboot doesn't solve anything.

I have Dish now just because they threw a ton of HD stuff my way so I switched but I had a similar problem happen with my DTV DVR. Had it replaced for free and if I remember correctly, it was a defect of certain models.

Unplugging it won't kill it, but it's not the best idea. Hit the Dtv button, go into setup & it's an option there.

Sounds like your previously recorded shows had filled up to the max capacity.
