Misleading Info on WSEX Site Regarding Moneybookers

From the WSEX Website:

Sooooooooooo........since they specified that Neteller and SolidPay are not available to USA customers, and said nothing about Moneybookers......foolish me, but I assumed that a Moneybookers transaction would go through.

I sent a credit card payment to Moneybookers.....and it was accepted.....but when I went to deposit the funds at WSEX.....you guessed it......I got a message that this was not available for USA customers !!!

I called WSEX and the CSR agreed that the website is misleading and I think they will fix it.....and they are supposedly calling Moneybookers on my behalf to get them to cancel the CC deposit. I also sent an e-mail to Moneybookers. They do not have a toll free number.

I guess shit like this is going to be pretty common for awhile. Hopefully WSEX (a class act for the last decade) will take care of this. They do lose a few points for not keeping their website up to date......and a bunch more for still not having corrected it. Meanwhile I strongly advise US folks to steer clear of Moneybookers. They WILL accept your deposit !!! But they will NOT fund your offshore account with your money !!!<!-- / message -->

And I do have a question.........

Will I be able to cancel the credit card transaction (the transfer to Moneybookers) before the money is actually charged, by calling my bank ???

Right now I think it is just a debit & authorization.

Just to be fair to WSEX.....I called them again this morning and they are looking into it.

WSEX has been solid & ethical in the 8 years I have played there.....so this is an oversight on their part at worst.....and I am sure they will do what they can to fix it.

The purpose of this post is to warn you guys about Moneybookers.....and not to trash WSEX. I hope it doesn't appear otherwise.

I attempted to make a deposit with wsex w/ nexum, before they went down (jan. 14th). Wsex said my deposit was declined, but the money was still taken out of my checking account. Have spoken with both of them twice, and they both say to go back and talk to the other one. Frustrating. Have only heard good things about wsex, but haven't been able to get this situation fixed and the customer service has been lacking. I'm certainly trying to be more patient, due to the current state of things. GL.

I feel for u. I had that bullshit happen to me with the Surepay company .:bigfinger Took 3weeks.

I am beginning to get a bit disillusioned with WSEX now. I spoke to a supervisor this morning who told me to get back to her in 2 hours. I did that and was told she was in a meeting and would get back to me. Meanwhile.....and perhaps most disturbing......they have not changed the info on their site. If you go to WSEX and open the cashier page it looks for all the world like you can get money to them through Moneybookers.

With the number of good outs dropping rapidly, I REALLY don't want a problem with WSEX. Plus as Rouxdogg says, the current state of things does dictate SOME patience......but if they don't take care of this I don't see how I can post up there with a clear head.

I will certainly update this thread if/when this gets resolved.

Meanwhile I am going to see if I can get my issuing bank to stop the charge.

dude with the rapid changes coming down as of late, I am amazed they (a book) can keep up with the wording on their webpages... there was a day or two there where you could prob get different info by just hitting the refresh button every few minutes.

I spoke to WSEX again.....and to their credit, they are working vigorously to resolve this. The problem is with Moneybookers....who should not have accepted my credit card deposit.

WSEX has asked their techies to correct the website, but that takes time.

The MAIN reason for the post is to alert anybody living in the former democracy we live in that they should not attempt this method to deposit funds at WSEX (or any other book for that matter). People from the rest of the world should have no problem.....but then again, people who don't live in the USA can use Neteller.....so there really is no reason to use Moneybookers no matter where you live I suppose.

In any case....WSEX is not the "bad guys." The Bad Guys are the bunch of neo-fascisit FUCKHEADS that have turned this beautiful one-time idealistic democracy into an imperialist theocracy....all the while dealing the "liberty card" from the bottom of the deck. Shame on every one of us for letting this happen. When I was in college we thought Richard Nixon was the antichrist.....but he is a SAINT compared to the bunch we have in there right now.

The "right to gamble" is hardly something I would expect people to consider some sort of "cause" but what was done here....and the way it was done (attaching this thing to a port security bill and then usnig intimidation tactics to enforce it)........fits a pattern that we'd best all wake up to.....and if anybody thinks putting a bunch of wimp-assed democrats in Congress is going to stop all this, think again
