I know there are similar threads about WU, Bodog, etc etc... but I thought I'd share the e-mail from Bodog *I just got a hour ago* when they were responding to my payout request via "Money Transfer (WU)" yetserday morning.

This obviously suggests that Bodog now rather to send via "Check by Courier", FYI.

Important Service Announcement

Hi CalvinTy,

Thank you for your patience this weekend. We wanted to give you an update on your payout.

As you know, up until this morning Western Union was our only option to send you your funds. However, we're pleased to announce that our eCommerce team has secured a new option for withdrawals: Check by Courier.

With Western Union agents suggesting a minimum 72-hour wait for a completed transfer, checks would be a much faster solution, not to mention easier for you. If you are willing, we are prepared to revise your payout request and courier you a check free of charge. Before we can do this we need you to do these two things:

1. Reply to this email or call us at 1-888-263-0000 (ext #4) to confirm that you'd like your payout sent to you by Check by Courier

2. Confirm your address by calling us at 1-888-263-0000 (ext #4), or by logging into http://www.bodog.com, clicking "Manage Account" and then "Change Address." We've provided a link below: https://www.bodog.com/account/app/UpdateProfile

Thanks again for your patience, and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Bodog.com Payouts Team

That's funny.. They told me that Western Union would be faster, they also told me that they will NOT be offering Western Union Payouts in the future.

Do you need to provide ID and SSN when receiving a WU payout? Or do you just need the MTCN and sender's info? I know if you're sending more than 1K you do...

I definitely will update everyone every step of the way.

Bodog's Payouts department informed me that the payout was issued, and that e-mail was sent to me Tuesday afternoon about 4:50pm Eastern (about a hour after I confirmed that I wanted the new method instead of the WU payout).

I of course did not expect anything in my mailbox yesterday evening when I arrived home as that would be too fast (not even 24 hours). I'm anticipating to see something by Friday afternoon if via UPS/Fedex (or Saturday if via regular mail).

They of course did say "4 business days" as an estimate. Usually their estimate are too far anyway (just to make people not worry and bother them before the suspense that they announced).

I also ask for payout from Bodog yesterday and my account has been reduced the next day for the payout. It will be coming by UPS with the warning that it may take 5-7 days and the tracking number when it comes available will be E-mail to me.

On another note did not really want to do this payout but want to regain my confidence in the books with what has happen this past week. (Been spoiled by the convenience of E-checks deposits and withdrawls). I do have the utmost confidence in Bodog but unfortunately there is a higher power in play now, the U.S. fckup government. Best of luck.

Has anyone heard that Bank of America is declining Bodog checks?

A post at Fezziks, hoping it is just a rumor. Bodog told me I will have no problems because it is a "par clearing check" and the check is not recognized as an international check by US banks.
