Just tried to deposit a check for 5k from Pinny and my bank stopped it.
They had a form they wanted me to sign and right who and where the money was from.

So I took off. Has this happened to anyone else and should I sign the form?

Do you think they're going to deny it, or do you not want a record for tax implications?

This is bad, If Rodger wins the Aussie, I have a big check coming.

Did you fill out the form. If so where did you say it came from.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

No I took the check and took off. Told them it was really a check for my wife so I would have too see.

It was Amsouth. Guys even if we get to deposit isnt this worrisome. I would have to think if the banks are at that point they are going to stop allowing them soon.

Just walked in and was going to post what happened to me today.Same exact god damn thing! Deposited a $4200 check (thanks to the Bears:103631605 ) yesterday and got a phone message today that there was a issue with a deposit. I called them back and they said i could not deposit/cash it due to a problem with the originating bank/company.

Oh boy, This is not good..Looks like i'll be taking a trip to the check cashing place on Friday (which is 70 miles away!!)

Btw, It was Key bank
This sucks...

Please refrain from discussing payment methods for a while. Some companies have asked not to let their company name be on our forum.

Thanks

Guys heres the thing we obviously know the watch dogs are out. I just cant see keep doing this because at some point someone is not gonna payout, someone is gonna fold, banks wont take the check, something and we cant say we didnt see it coming.

I have had 100s if not in the thousands of bank to net transactions and not to sure what i would say they were.

Its not illegal for individual US citizens to gamble online.

It is illegal for banks and institutions to have any part in online gambling transactions. They're just trying to cover their ass.

Just deposit using their ATM.

Whenever I deposited a large check that way, it's always credited without a problem. When I do it with a teller, they put holds on it and other crap.

Not saying that this is the case, but a number of banks have policies requiring more ID and a hold on deposits of $5k or more...
