I just got done cutting and pasting my entire Pinnacle bet history into Excel for prosperity. I'm afraid one day soon I won't even be able to access it.

Anyway, once I was done I crunched the numbers and came up with my lifetime totals at Pinny...

In a little more than 3 Years:

850+ Bets
$750,000+ Risked
$10,000+ Lost

I would love to know how the rest of you did in your Pinnacle careers. Is anybody up big? Somebody won my $10,000 -- was it you?

If you get 15 minutes try it yourself, it was pretty easy. It was fun looking back at some of the highs and lows too, and Pinnacle records the scores with your tickets which helps.

I apologize if a thread like this has been created recently, but I haven't seen it and wanted to share.

I was nearly in tears when I heard Pinny closed the door on us. Other than playing poker, they were the sole reason I have a bankroll now.

Total Wagered: $30,844.60

Wow, I went ahead and worked it out because I was bored... I lost a shade over a dollar. I would've figured the damage was significantly more. I always kept tracking of total winnings and losses, never which book the money was coming into or out of. A bit over 2 years and I lost a buck and change at Pinnacle? Damn... one less double cheeseburger I can get at McDonalds...

I recently did this with my other accounts too... Totally cleaned BetCris' clock. They helped put me through college!

Great idea for a thread and I had no idea Pinnacle records from long ago were still available! Here is my history...

Sports:
155 wagers
$128995 risked
Result: Lost -$1380

Casino:
$235630 risked
$235897 returned (win of +$267)
Rebate 0.3% +$706.89

Overall a loss of $406 after a LOT of action!

I'm not surprised most of us lost at Pinny since they were so sharp, I bet most of scalper lost huge at Pinny and made tons at the other places. I was fortunate enough to win but it was only over a year worth of wagers, so I'm sure I will be in the red if they didn't close down the shop on us.

down $493.32 on 208 bets. Probably won about half, and lost about half.

Interesting thread...I was even a little afraid to do the numbers. I tallied my numbers up while watching "Billy Madison" for the 100th time, so here goes...

JUly 2004- Dec, 2004 vol. 1,525,317 (+24,483) +1.60%

2005 vol. 3,431,515 (-13,150) -0.38%

2006 vol. 5,810,098 (+85,424) +1.47%

2007-(Jan 11, RIP) vol. 273,105 (-13,017) -4.77%

Totals for
Jul, 2004 to 2007 vol. 11,040,035 (+83,740) +0.758%

I never won more than 4 months consecutively, never lost more than two in a row.

Pinny sharpened me up, as well as being a great out to get down essential volume, but I'll live. I've taken what I've learned and have already moved on, after a one week mourning period, in which I didn't even have the energy to do the dishes or take out the trash (not kidding). Matchbook is everything they said it was.:103631605

They didn't throw anyone out for winning, as far as I know, but I think they put some gamblers on a "sharp" list and shaded the numbers more than they normally would off their plays. This is exactly how a bookmaker can actually profit from a gambler who's beating them. Books that throw out winners just don't know how to profit from them, and are inept, IMO. It's like an "investor" who only knows how to make money in a bull market (well, who doesn't?).

A winning gambler doesn't have to be betting limits either. If there is a very sharp nickle gambler for example, a book can chart his nickle play as a dime or even 3 nickles or 2 dimes, because the book wants to need the same side as the "sharp" player. Conversely, if a square bets 2 or 3 or 5 dimes, they might not even chart the bet at all, because books don't want to offset square action and they especially don't want to offset square action with sharp action (at least not dollar for dollar), because the squares have no edge in the long run, while sharp players do. Offsetting square action with sharp action is like handing the sharpies money. From this premise and the confusion dealing with sharp gamblers created, the unpopular and controversial "dual lines" system was born, where one set of lines (usually higher favorites and totals) is dealt to the squares and the sharp players got a stronger line.

I had a very short history at Pinny (May/June 2006; then serious activity from October 2006-January 2007) with lot of arbing/scalping done in the last 3 months.

This was where I kept seeing all my money going to Bodog instead of Pinny when arbing.... I would say I made 20-25 arb attempts for a nickel or a dime (*only* because of arbing since I don't make nickel straight bets)... and I think the Pinny side won only like FIVE of those arbs or such.

So my results:

630 wagers
risked $75,000+
net -$7,199.25

My Bodog account is at least 10K-15K higher since last year so I know I'm still building a bankroll, LOL.

This basically describes me as well. I had a lot of action at Pinny during the last 4-5 months - several $100k. Lost $13,551 there. But between bonuses and middles, I was up close to $20k over the same timeframe.
