If a monkey and a three-year can pick 50%

If throwing darts can produce a 50 percent winning percentage against the spread, and if a monkey, a three-year-old, and a MENSA member will all achieve roughly the same percentage of wins....50 percent, then how is it possible for someone who studies and gets good numbers to lose?

All you need to do is stay within your comfort zone and wait for your spots. If you like playing dogs then just wait for the public teams to cover a few times in a row and then take a stand. It seems that I have never won a game betting a favorite, though out of thousands of bets I probably only bet 10 favorites in my life....all losers. Same thing for betting games over.

Dogs or Under...or no bet for me. Whenever I step away from that program and bet a favorite or over it is like pulling teeth, and I know I am a loser 5 minutes into the game.

I say stick to what comes naturally and then make your play when you get the feeling. Statistics are over-rated.....value can be sensed within a few seconds from looking at the line.

If you are sharp and have a little patience it is close to impossible to pick under 50 percent winners over any extended period of time. Is it not?

Picking 50% isnt that hard to do, but that doesnt make you money. ANd most players when they DO WIN 5 to 10 games in a row, then go to the internet casinos and lose it all in 15 minutes.


That is the key thing about gambling. You cant just say money management to newbies, you have to explain it. In betting you will have streaks of 7 to 10 wins in a row. Then you feel on top of the world and start messing around with the books casino and you will QUICKLY lose it all back. Then you may lose as little as 3 in a row and be out of money.



I can honestly say that I havent played a hand of blackjack or slots online in over 4 years. I got tired of losing 7 hands in a row in blackjack before winning one hand then another 7 in a row four years ago

I think if you kept your plays to a single unit each time you would have to be over 50 percent. If all of your plays were for the same amount then the definition of "going over the edge" would be playing too many games, but even then you are still 50-50 at worst. Of course, you need to avoid casino games, etc.

I need to figure out my exact unit and follow the program for a year.....playing the same amount every time.

There is a search icon atop the forum. Make sure to enable "All Forums" to search the entire board in the top right. We'll be improving the search results ordering to show more relevant results first. And in the case of searching a member we can probably default to their profile page posting log.

Fading touts n their best pick when it is a favorite of 4 or more works well

I noticed it in college
Just don't fade picks against elite teams like Georgia or Alabama if they areoicked
Not sure if it works in NFL but I am sure it does
