I have a Sensa 2GB player, just bought it last month. I had an I river one for 3 years before I bought the new one. Great price $ 89 at Circuity City. IPods are way overpriced IMO

I've always bought Archos, MP3 players and now MP4 (Video) players.

Also considering a Squeezebox.

I have a Zen Nomad Jukebox and I give it a thumbs up. You can rip whatever you like onto it. Creative makes good stuff.

Sandisk Sansa players are cool as you can pop in MicroSD memory cards.

Sandisk also makes a video recorder that will record directly onto the MicroSD cards and play back in the Sansa.

Bought a few for christmas, haven't played with 'em much yet but the kids like 'em.

Also got a couple Altec Lansing speaker docks -- only brand I could find natively supporting the Sansa. A bit expensive.

Although I'm really confused now why all these MP3 players have proprietary docks if all the dock port does is charge the unit?! The audio link is just a standard stereo cable from the headphone output to an auxilary port. I had thought there was something more to it, tighter integration.

I'm leaning towards the Creative Zen M 30gig I think. Want to have it hard wired for my car so I don't have to deal w/ CD's while driving anymore.

I have the Zen Vision video 30g and it is great and so is the software. I won't suport any apple product but I did win a Nano and gave it to my 10 year old son. you can get a 80 gig now for what I paid for the 30gig 3 months ago. I got 15 movies and 500 songs on mine right now.

Next question...what is the best way to play your ipod through your car stereo. I have a tape player in my car and I'm leading to the cassette adaptor option over the tranmitter.

Or is it worth it to get it hard wired to your stereo?

Thanks guys.

I have the tape adaptor. It works very well for the price.

By far an auxilary input on the faceplate is the best if you have one (or are buying a deck).

Who in the world has still has a tape player?!

I have a Zen and an Apple Ipod. They both work fine. Unless you are some kind of hard core music freak the
Zen is very good and a lot cheaper.

I do...many many live tapes collected over the years and too lazy to try and find all the live shows digitally these days. Have a 50 disc changer hooked up to it though for CDs and also 60 GB Ipod now....set on my tunes!!:suomi:
