Heard about a bunch of rooms reserved by the USembassy not far from La Sabana and Belen exactly on Superbowl week.
I know CR is a sovereing country but nothing surprises me anymore.
Just take a look at the following articles.

You have no worries...they are just coming down there to get their action down on the game. They have no way of getting their money down to Costa Rica so they are flying in themselves.

For the record, I have been hearing this same thing for a few months.

I heard it for the first time in 1994 and every Super Bowl since, so it's gotta be true.

DoJ denies imminent indictment rumours

DoJ denies imminent indictment rumours

Rumours suggesting further online gaming arrests planned for this week have been denied by the Department of Justice (DoJ) in New York and Washington DC this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: “Nothing would be made public until an individual or company was charged.”

According to sources in Washington DC who have spoken to eGaming Review, the US authorities are on the verge of unsealing another set of indictments against a high-profile US-facing betting and gaming operator.

A move against the rumoured target in Superbowl week would be bound to be grab the headlines. It would also follow on from the arrests earlier in January of the two founders of Neteller, Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre.

eGaming Review will report more as the story develops.

I don't like this line.... it's screaming "Calvin Ayre, Bodog".... what you think, everyone? Put aside the fact that he is probably untouchable, but could we realistically continue at Bodog or that they would be better off to temporarily stop serving the U.S. market if the indictments are against him/Bodog??

Two words: Bo Dog. I guess that's one word.

But in any case, so long as the operator doesn't set foot in the U.S., what can they do?

I honestly don't think it is BoDog.

They have and will continue to target operations with some nexus to the U.S. Other than advertising BoDog has never had such.

Also I don't think they will unseal indictments without someone in custody.

And I really doubt any bust will happen outside of U.S. soil. They painfully waited for Lawrence to step into U.S. territory (U.S. Virgin Islands) before unsealing those indictments.

Makes you wonder, though, how many "sealed" indictments there are waiting for an opportunity for someone to be stupid.
