Made a 20.00 deposit out of curiousity, Tried a Mastercard and got decline and then tried Visa card and was accepted. 15 minutes later got a call from the bank fraud prevention wondering about these charges and if I authorized them. Now a couple of days later the charges appeared on my Visa statement and the bank did charge me 10.00 transaction fee. Wondering now if this is the normal fee I will have to pay everytime or is it based on how much I send. It was only a 20.00 deposit. Best of luck.

the transaction fee may be becoz ur bank considers this to be a "Cash Advance", rather than a purchase.

If that is the case they may be charging you interest immediatly aswell, instead of allowing you to your bill to pay it off interest free.

not sure, my bank doesnt charge a transaction fee and it is not considered a cash advance.

Only way to find out is to call em and ask em about the fee.

Yea, a call from the fraud department for a $20 transaction says volumes about some new rules the banks are operating under.

What was the $10 fee for, cost of the fraud Department calling?
