Yes

It is normal, actually makes it easier on you just placing the code in when filling out the paper work. Nothing out of the ordinary though, just their way of doing things through that method instead of having sent person to person like w.u.

Your not sending the money to a person you are sending to a company as a Express Payment. Its much cheaper than sending to a person $5.95 instead of $15.00 and up depending on the amount. Stay under $800 and you should be ok w/ out ID

When I send moneygram to CRIS they always need a address too. Plus the code name. Won't go through without it.

ok...stupid question...

I've done two moneygram deposits...each were $9.50/fee a piece...but I keep hearing $5.95...what am i doing wrong?

I always send to a company, via express payment.

Its not like I do the Merriman dance out of frustration when I heard the fee, but just a lil confused why i keep reading $5.95...no biggie, but just would like to know.

I believe money gram raised their fees recently. or it may be $5.95 for an international express payment. Either or not to worry, I've been paying $9.95 on my money gram express payments made to companies that have U.S. addresses.

JOURNEYMAN. Do you know for sure if they don't ask for an ID if sending less than $800? Person to person to Nicaragua? MG is getting tough with the questions now.

receiving code:
receiving company:
location:
account #:
amount $:

Those are the info needed to be fill out on the blue form of Money Gram Express.
it will cost between $5.50-$9.95 from $500-$900
The blue form clearly stated ID will be needed if sending over $1,000

I had never sent over $1,000 using MG express so I never had to provide ID.
But they keep very good record of your phone number you provided.
when you put the phone number in the form they know who you are right away even if you use different names. it happened to me.

NOw I have to make up different phone number, name and address every time I use MG.
