Maybe this is a stupid thread but i was looking a buddy's Bodog lines with him a couple days ago and he was getting different lines than i was. We were both on our laptops and his lines were better than mine. Has this happened to any of you?

yes, it happens to everyone unfortunately...enjoy the dog lines while you still have them.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Some how it's become acceptable. I see it as a sign to who's behind the book. An honorable man wouldn't need to do this to make his money. Honorable men earn thier money.

You bet the red sox often and consistently enough watch out for a 10c increase.

What do you mean the lines are different? The Juice? If its just different spreads then depending on the team, it could give you the advantage. Not a big deal in my opinion

can't be better for him. It means you like the other side that his bookk offered. You have the sharp line and they are pretty useless when they give you that.

I don't know what everyone bitches about. If you're a square, you should learn how to start betting some dogs to take advantage of the lines.

If you're a sharp, then you're getting the same lines you're getting everywhere else.

If I bet the Sox all the time I get Boston - 140 Balrimore + 130 while my less obvious buddy gets the real line Sox - 130 Balty + 120.

They risk me taking the free 10c on Balty knowing I'm dumb enough to reject this gift and overpay for my beloved team cause I am going to Fenway/watching with friends.

I lot more squares pay the additional 10c then switch alliances leading to longterm profit for the book $$$.

Yes, it's called dealer market fading and dual lines is a perfect example of it. It's built into almost every line, they just exaggerate it at Bodog to get the real squares.

In 1 post the posters say support your bookmaker in this time of all the problems. Then the same posters say it's O.K. for the same bookmaker to take advantage of anyone who isn't as sharp as you might be.

A bettor has no reason to support his bookmakers if other bookmakers think it's O.K. to rape the newbee.

Until these kinds of Bookmakers play fair to everyone, nobody has to support anyone of them. Fu&K everyone of them who does this to newbees!

No! It's called illegal in a regulated industry. But because these Bookmakers are cowerds and hide behind a computer they can get away with it.

It's also called rapping the newbees that the industry needs. If you were a legit bookmaker it would piss you off that a selfish scumbag out for himself would stoop to this to make money.

The legit Bookmaker knows he will get the newbees money anyway and knows he doesn't need to play game with them to get it. It's a classless move!

Total lack of class and honor. So when these guys pick up and run like the BOS guys. would it suprise anyone with a brain?

All I know is I just made a deposit with click2pay at Bodog and didn't get my 10% bonus for the first time EVER! What's up with that? They gave it to me 2 days ago!

Wish every book gave out dual lines. Hell, wish they all gave out ten different lines. if you can't figure out that is a good thing you should quit betting on sports because YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER WINNING.

Dr. Know it all said:
Doesn't make it right by any means.

They offer you a price, you decide to take it or not. The onus is on you--they're providing the service of making you a market.

Bettors are volunteer participants in the market. Price discrimination happens in every market, sports betting or otherwise.

Don't you think local bookies do the same thing when they know what team a bettor likes?

I got an email from Bodog Last week and i also talked to customer service, and they both said that Bodog is no longer offering 10% RELOAD bonus due to the recent problems, the guy said that because of all the Western Union charges they are having to pick up on peoples payouts as of January 31st no more reload bonuses. It made me unhappy also.
