So Winning MVP 2 Years' Running Doesn't Make You An All-Star Starter?

Have obviously been out of the loop the whole month of January, but just looked over the All-Star rosters. What a joke.

Nash may very will win MVP for the 3rd time this year but the fans can't vote him in as a starter? This is why I hate how our all-star teams are selected.

Shaq as a starter? Has played what, 7 games total this year?

I further my opinion that voters should be over the age of 14 (at the very least).

Maybe the Suns would have done something against the "best in the west" last year...IF Stoudemire had been 100% healthy...

Nash stirs that drink...but they need all those guys healthy...

my point is that he's easily the best PG on the planet and the fans are so retarded that they can't acknowledge this and vote a back-to-back MVP player in as a starter, instead has to get selected as a "reserve"?

Nash truly makes everyone around him a much better basketball player, Much like Magic Johnson did. Nash makes playing and running fun because he can get the players the ball in scoring position better than anybody else. And can score so you have to cover him at all times. Deadly when he's hot.

Best player easy.

So he is not the most popular among the voters at least he got in to the game as a reserve and I/m sure his coach will play him enough minutes. IMO the all star game is over rated just like the probowl...JMO

That is all true...but that is only half the game. He is a complete liability the other 50% of the game. You can't be the "Best player easy" when you only play half the time.
