I really don't know but usually it is only for 10 minutes or so, I just happened to be online this morning when the site went down around 3:15AM EST but it was back up before 3:30AM EST. One of these nights in the next couple of months there is going to be some routine maintenance downtime so that Rx. Tech Support can balance the traffic load with another server (or something like that). I will give everyone plenty of notice because that will take a lot longer than 10 minutes.
Considering the traffic the site performed very well yesterday.

Thats is probably more accurate because I am not online that often between 3 and 4 AM EST. I usually open the Board Room with the daily thread there between 5 and 5:30AM EST everyday, by then the downtime is overwith. The last several times I have logged on earlier the downtime was not much longer (for me here in CR) than 10 or 15 minutes.
I know for certain is is not anything Rx. Tech Support is doing because they have sleep just like the rest of us. The problem is either a V-Bullitin thing or a Racsa (Costa Rica) problem. This issue comes up every few months and maybe this next upgrade that I was told about will eliminate the problem. I know they want to "Balance" the traffic load but to be honest not being to sharp when it comes to this tech stuff I have no idea what that really means.

i try to average 8 hours of solid sleep per night.
last night was different as super bowl sunday is a holiday in this household.
was awake from 8am sunday morning to about 8 am monday morning and felt a little wired up off the adrenaline and excitement from the super bowl and couldnt fall asleep.
had monday off since the holiday fell on a sunday and instead of laying down, was surfing the forums that late and had it collapse on me. this has happened before, so i was wondering if it was a glitch on this end or on the board. not really a big deal, but more of curiosity.
sleeping is one of my favorite pastimes, hard to roll out of bed from underneath all those warm blankets in all coziness when it is literally 0 degrees F outside with wind chills of -20.
