I have most of NWA's albums

But let's face it: Str8 out of Compton was the gateway album that ruined the whole Genre.

kaput, I mean tupac couldnt hold Nas' jock strap

Rap is dead

Are you serious? I agree that rap is dead now. But come on, you can't say Nas has more talent then Tupac. Sure 2pac maybe got a little too commercial right before he died, but his lyrics and flow was some sharp all the time. There are few tracks on Tupacs albums that are garbage.

I'm a huge Ice Cube fan, going back to his NWA days. But, man, some of the lyrics still make me cringe ...

Nappy Dugout. One of the best/most horrifying songs of all time.

From his best album in my opinion Death Certificate, do you agree? What do you think about Cube now BTW?

Same here. Funny I was listening to some Amerikka's Most Wanted last night.

Lyrics was good and poignant but his flow wasnt that good. One thing that killed 2pac was that his catalogue was diluted with way too many CD's and mediocrity. Granted you have a Hail Mary, Dear Mama, I get around or Brenda's got a baby but then there was some hot trash he put out that was forgettable.

I'm sorry but hip hop aint dead. It has just changed back to the old days of the 70's and 80's. It went back to the underground and the streets.

You listen to a Little Brother, Kev Brown, Oddisee, Black Milk (among others) and you tell me the genre is dead.

I hated death certificate, because the beats used that sound that purposely made them sound choppy and crappy.

America's most is the best!

Setting out the Nappy Dugout is my all time favorite rap song. A pure D classic on a pure classic disc. The background singing that goes with it is great.

Nympho, Nympho boy is she bad, get her all alone and out come the kneepads. In fact I am going to have to play it now.

And dont forget Look whos burning.

A gangters fairytale from Americas most wanted is the best. Followed by Whos the Mack.

As for NWA. Its findum, Fu..em and Flee tied with She swallowed it.

Ok I can accept this.

I still like those tracks from Americas most the best they were just really thrashy and they rocked.

efil4zaggin was NWA's best (and last) I thought. In hindsight it seemed to be a warmup for Dr.Dre's the chronic since 'Always into something' had such a similar production style.

Where is KingBill when you need him

A song that applies right now he wrote about George Bush Sr. "A bird in the hand" is worth more than a bush.

Pure poetry, that song. The backup singers are brilliant. Girls singing that. Amazing.

Lyrics.

Best Cube tune (if not best rap tune) of all time:
