No it cuts into my gambling bankroll where I get 100X better return on my investment.

Actually have 9k in a few mutal funds and my broker is gleaming because they made me close to 1k last year. I tell him that is what I have been making in the SPORTS BETTING MARKET WEEKLY FOR CLOSE TO A YEAR. I can tell he doesnt beleive me, not sure most people do.

I think its safe to say, if people think you gamble, then they 100% most likely think that you are always losing money...

Yeah, exactly. Blame the word "gamble"... it is associated negatively in our language & in the majority of the society in the USA.

That's why I consider my SB funds (sportsbetting) as part of "my short-term investments". I tell my gal or friends that I am doing my part-time job whenever I need to do something. It definitely pays like a part-time job to me.

Just like a few years ago when I was active in the stock market (with my tiny BR back then, though) and made some profit in every stock. I reported it during tax filing time as a short-term or long-term capital gains. Simple as that. However, I guess poker took that attention and then I stopped poker last year when I bought my condo. I knew I'd not have time to actually sit at computer screens for 2 hours to play several poker sessions anymore.

I fully intend to report my net profit when I file my 2006 taxes (and especially this 2007 calendar year as I'm really on a hot roll since beginning of the year). I probably would just say "short-term investments" on my 1040 *AS THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE!!*.

Iceman, you need to tell your broker that your "hedge funds" will outperform his this year and see if he will go for it.

sp futures should trade down off the opening......

1457.75 yesterdays high and a contract high....

1450.50 yesterdays low.........

then support at 1447, 1443, 1438.........

going to be hard to sell it off this much, although a correction is past due...

thinking of trading it today...........

currently 1451, low of 1450.75............ im waiting on 1450.50 to be taken out, then sell first rally........

There was a ton of money to be made since this thread if you timed it right.
This thread started at almost the market bottom somewhere around 700 S and P.
Went all the way up to 1400
If you timed it right you made a killing.

Take my last post back.

This was about 6 months before the free fall.

If you would have got out when this thread started then got back in March 08 then got back out again 2 months ago you would have made a fortune.
