His show was about Cynthia Sommers. She's the lady that was found guilty by a jury of 12 people for murdering her husband by arsenic poisoning. Husband was an marine and died I believe in 2002. Some 5 years later police or government arrest wife. Cynthia seems innocent to me. I sure hope the judge or court of appeals free this poor lady. Most legal pundits believe the prosecution didn't prove anything. Husband probably didn't even die from arsenic poisoning, it very well could have been natural causes or some heart irregulaties. Seems like the jurors made a big mistake. This is another case of an innocent person being unjustly imprisioned.

Didn't see the show but arsenic as a possible cause of death can easily be determined on an exhumed corpse. Heck they've even made that determination on bodies from classical Greek and Egyptian times.

Jury F upped. Many mistakes made. Jury didn't even consider defendents 3 expert medical witnesses stating that death was very inconsistant from death caused by Arsenic poisoning. You watch something will happen soon and Cynthia Rhodes will be let free.

I would care. I'm tried of people getting fcked because of our closed minded government and a large portion of our society. It's happened to me. Hey fish, I'm curious if you have an opinion regarding her guilt or innocence? Also interested in all others opinions that are familiar with the case.

Innocent???

At first she was not suspected in the death, but soon family, friends, insurance agent and s eventually the police became suspicious. Within weeks of her husband’s death Sommers made calls to the insurance company asking for money. She continued to ask for more and more saying she had to pay her children’s tuition and other expenses. When police began looking into the Sommer’s behavior they found some out very strange things. Within weeks of her husband’s death she had undergone breast enhancement surgery and testimony later showed that she had had multiple sex partners, wild parties as well as committing other inconsistent acts of a grieving widow. Sommer’s even went to Tiajuana and competed in a thong contest.

So you convict her of being premiscous after husband dies. Dude the prosecution exagerates a lot of reality. She had sex with 4 people of which 2 were a couple. I don't know if i would classify this as wild parties. She received $250,000 of which $145,000 went into trust funds for the kids. There was over 6000 pages of discovery and nothing links her to having, or acquiring arsenic. Right now medical experts and other legal experts are reviewing findings by the cornor's office and other sequence of events and documents. These important papers weren't released to the defense until the last minutes. I've heard experts are currently finding many mistakes and wrong doings. There's a ton of reasonable doubt. I predict it will come out that husband didn't even die from arsenic poisoning. That's my opinion and your entitled to your opinion along with the twelve juror's. Most legal pundits believe prosecution didn't prove anything. Guy was at amusement park, riding roller coasters a day before his death. Husband went to medical consultations with wife regarding her breast implants. People die from natural causes every day. It is rare but not impossible.

Who's to say how a grieving widow should act. When your grieving your hurting, so why not have sex. I believe most people will agree that its one of the most enjoyable things to do in the prime of your life. It was her way of escaping from reality. To be convicted by your actions after a spouse passes away is bs, especially when the facts are exagerated by the fcken prosecutors.

From Court TV:
Court TV<!-- end byline -->
SAN DIEGO — Arsenic did not cause the sudden, mysterious death of Sgt. Todd Sommer, according to a forensic toxicologist who testified Friday at the murder trial of Sommer's widow.
"This isn't consistent with an arsenic death," said defense expert and arsenic specialist Alphonse Poklis, who is the director of toxicology in the department of pathology at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
Poklis reviewed Todd Sommer's autopsy and medical reports and determined that the levels of alleged arsenic later discovered in Todd's tissues were inconsistent with acute arsenic poisoning — the cause of death on his death certificate.
Cynthia Sommer, 33, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and faces life in prison if convicted.
Prosecutors have no evidence linking the mother of four to the lethal poison. They have built a case around Sommer's character, including her promiscuous behavior shortly after Todd's death, her predilection for shopping, and the breast implant surgery she underwent two months after Todd died, which she could not afford before receiving his death benefits.
