Radio argument- Is a Long Island Iced Tea a manly drink or is it girly?

I say hell yes!!!!

Some of my best nites and worst nites were when I drank these. The 2 radio hosts were arguing about this. Back in my heyday everyone I hung out with considered this a rough drink in the sense after a few drinks some damage was done. I never knew of a girl that could or would drink these.

Never heard of anyone considering this a girly drink until this one particular host said it.

Maybe it had to do with the place I use to drink them at, they were in 25 oz glasses. Each has 5 shots in them but willing to bet they had the equivalent of 8 shots in 1 drink at this establishment. They sold them for $12 and were well worth it. Don't miss the mornng after headache though

If you are worried about crossing your legs, eating quiche (sp?) or drinking a girly drink, then you are not a real man as as you do not have much confidence, and let societal definitions dictate how you act in day to day life.

Have never thought of or heard of chicks digging a drink with 5 different liquors in it. Don't know about the chicks you hang with but the ones I knew got nowhere near those drinks.

This is Canada bro...chicks here will drink anything. The way I see, if it has a weird or fruitty name, it's a chick drink.

Depends on how many you drink, and how you drink them.

If you sip one over the course of 2 hours, leave the lemon wedge on the rim of the glass, and sip it through a straw...chick drink.

If you throw out the lemon, bend over the straw, and drink 3 or 4 an hour...manly drink.

It's made up of a bunch of different alcohols (7, I think) and for some weird reason ends up tasting like Ice Tea.

Vodka, gin, rum, tequila, triple sec, sour mix, and coke.

So 5 liquors (if you count triple sec, which is weak).

I had a fresh deck of cards sitting on the table and the cat just ran off with a few of them. Thats it, I cant use that deck anymore because of the bite marks. Damn cat.

Long Islands can't be classified as girly. they get you hammered.

A better debate would be are Bloody Marys girly? I say no since I could down those all day.
