3.2 units to win 1 unit - Frank Shamrock over Renzo Gracie.

Renzo Gracie has been more active lately fighting wise but not to any real competition namely old school folks, Miletich and Carlos Newton.

Renzo came in 180 while Frank came in 185. Frank being the much bigger fighter here. Renzo's standup is lacking to say the least. Frank's is the better standup fighter here. Both have pretty decent chins, though I think Frank has a much better one.

Frank Shamrock last fought a Cesar Gracie, a freaking joke of a fight actually. Frank had a scheduled fight with Phil Baroni but that didn't happen, but I guess it could in the future. So Frank has been actively training for a fight. His cardio is pretty much top.

This is gonna be a fast paced battle and Frank intends to bring the pace.

So, what does Renzo have that can beat Frank? I think Renzo's gameplan should be to score takedowns. I'd be very shocked to see Renzo win the standup here.

I see this fight standing for a bit, getting range, Renzo shooting and Frank sprawling and probably Renzo will pull guard, drag it to the ground. Renzo will continue to do his thing, work the guard. Frank will throw hammer fists. Renzo will work a gulliotine, Frank will pull out. Renzo will work high guard. Frank stands up, kicks Renzo's thighs. Frank will throw a superman punch, it will land square on Renzo. Renzo will clinch up. Go back to guard... etc..

But I have a strong feeling all of this will go out the window mainly because of this statement.

"EliteXC is bringing new elements to officiating and how the product is packaged for fans. The most significant departure from traditional MMA rules is a 15-second ground count. Once the action goes to the mat, if the fighters are not actively engaged in advancing their positions, the referee will stand them up."

Frank wins by decision by more punches landed, it could end TKO as well if the punches are consecutive.

- I'm interested in seeing KJ Noons beat the hell out of Bennett too. Carano getting her ass beat would be gratifying as well. Although Carano wins based on her hot factor.

Good luck.

Frank is the fucking man. Always thought he got overlooked with being in the shadow of his beat up brother.

When and how can we see this fight?

The fight is on Showtime tonight.

As for the Frank - Renzo matchup, I haven't bet it yet, but I lean to Renzo. Frank may be looking ahead to Baroni, which has been signed for the summer.

Frank is a lock. Should be -600. Renzo will get dominated in the standup and Frank is going to be much much bigger. Renzo could sit on his ass for a few weeks and still weigh less. I don't think he can take Frank down due to the size.

Pretty sure this will be graded as a loss on the books. Tough break.
