Would it not be completly idiodic not to devote all your time to poker?

I can honestly tell you with a complete and staight poker face that I have offically developed into a great poker player.

I have never in my life ever considered betting on sports for a living, but the thought of going full-time into poker has really started crossing my mind bigtime lately.

I have been playing for over 2 years now, and the last year has been wonderfull.

My first year was very costly, but I have learned from my mistakes, and can honestly tell you that I believe I can game with just about anyone in the world right now.

My bankroll is starting to get to the point where my regular game is $100 and $200 SNGs. Its not very hard to make a 6 figure income cashing at a 40% clip.

Should I just say fuck sports betting and devote all my wagering to poker?

And if anyone out there thinks they can handle me, come join me for some one on one at bodog $100 buy-in.

Best 4 out of 7. The winner gets an extra $500.

Let me ask you these, Poker God.

If you could give one advice to beginner, what would it be?

What separate a player from winner to loser?

Its very simple.

Learn the rules and the pot odds.
Only read how to books for beginning stratagy.

Then give the game 2 years of hard play.

If you are not a winning player after 2 years, you need to quit playing poker.

You either have what it takes or you dont.
Its that simple.

What, exactly, are you asking? Or did you just want to say "look at me, I'm awesome!"?

PATIENCE - BUT KNOW WHEN TO STRIKE.

Matt24 is hands down the best poker player on these forums by a long shot, hit him up a few questions in the poker forum and see if he answers. If he's still on that sick heater, he probably won't.

Choptalk - Why not? If you can make more money doing something do it. That's like asking, HMMMMMM...should I take this job because I'm good at and I'll be paid 200g or this job because I'm not so good at it and I'll be paid 50g.

To answer your question, CHOPTALK

If sportsbetting is something that you enjoy to do, I would definitely do it. If you don't enjoy it, NO.

I'm in for a 10 player 1 table SnG at BoDog.
Not shying away from your proposal heads up, I got more than enough game to hang with ya, but my preference is 10 man ring game.
I know PPP would be in, that's 3 right there. (PPP, me, you)
You can get seven more easily.

When you learn to play NL Cash, I'll look for you at the tables! One thing playing NL Tourney all-ins on preflop and flop, and another thing playing post-flop in deep stack NL.

Yes I am from Vancouver, I know people who work in BoDog there and they told me their poker site is very soft. So wish I could play there.

My handle is CrazyIvan or CrazyIvan24 in the poker site(s) such as Absolute, FullTilt, Mansion, WSEX, etc. I don't play S&G since I hate tourneys. I only play cash games (both limit and NL). However I will play big NL tourneys (MTTs) with $100+ buyins.

Real soft, especially at the 2-4 holdem level.
Nice place to make supplemental income.

I am a better poker player but when you have a life it is impossible to commit the time to poker.

If you have a job, kids, and social life no way to do it. Sports you can.

But im assuming like 98 percent of the guys here you are a mid 20s single guy who doesnt like sunlight. So in that case give it a shot.
