Gonna stop complaining about everything and just deal with it...make the best , turn negatives into positives and suck it up!!!

Gamblers are never satisfied and most will bitch even after a 9-1 day that they lost the 10th game, I do this all the time...I will cry about a loss and rarely mention the wins to friends, they think I'm always losing bets by a half point.

Time for a new outlook , who's with me?

You don't know what "complaining too much" really means until you have met my boss.

I'm with you... I usually don't complain that much about loses because I know that bad beats will even out with the lucky beats in the end but sometimes I just get so pissed... but it is usually more as a fan then a gambler... but I am in... Complaining really gets you no where it just helps you to vent...

Not a bad rule to live by..........

However, to much in this world for me to complain about to keep my mouth shut about.

In fact, as SPORTSAVANT states many times over and over, the citizens in this country sit on their fat asses to much and don't complain..........and precisely why the government is ruling us like a bunch of feeder cattle.

If keeping things in pespective actually worked, most people would never complain.

Unfortunately, while it's a good idea, it doesn't work, for the most part.

Case and point: if Joe Blow gets fired from his job, and then his wife leaves him as a result, telling himself that "it could be worse...I could be homeless or starving," while true, simply isn't going to make him feel better about the fact that he's now jobless and lost his spouse.

Problems are personal. Some people could think that Joe Blow is overreacting if he's upset about what happened and should "keep things in perspective." But that doesn't matter. All that matters is how JOE BLOW feels. And while not being homeless or hungry are good things, they still don't change the fact that he feels like shit about how HIS life has gone to hell.

Keeping things in perspective: Sensible in theory, impractical in use. Not 100%, but far less practical and useless than people would like to think.

I have learned it is a waste of time and energy to complain about things out of your control. Bad beats in sports wagering or any card game are just a part of the risk of gambling. Reading some of the in-game threads is almost comical. Now missing an expensive 3 footer on #18, that's another story. Good Luck

Funny thing you bring this up J. I was at a small get together last night and one of the guests got sauce on their shirt and was like, "oh well, shit happens."

I would have been more like **&$ $@$ mother *#*#* *@#@! *##(@."

Definately a virtue for those that don't sweat all the small stuff.

I understand what you are saying..

For some people it works, for others it doesnt.....complaining never got anyone anywhere though as far as I know.

Why are we doing New Years Resolutions tonight...

You have 11 months left to do something new. Just proceed on bitching and moaning.

In a nutshell, I beleive what Jman is saying is "DONT SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF". and I understand what he means.....

I get frustrated when dealing with a retartded cashier at a store on the phone as a customer service agent, sometimes I get frustrated and angry over the silliest things....

This does not mean one shoudnt complain or sit idly by as their government continues to strip freedoms.

In a nutshell, there are times when complaining/reacting is a must and there are other times where it should be let go.

I met this girl recently who's father was wounded and crippled in Vietnam and died in 2004, her half brother was two weeks from finishing a second tour of duty in Iraq when he was shot and killled in action...this kid was 20 , he attended his fathers funeral , a few months later he was in the ground in Arlington himself.

Above is a picture of this kid at his fathers funeral, a few moths later the family was back to send him off.

And we complain about snow or red lights or losing a bet after winning 8 straight.
