I know it is early but and it is been very quiet lately so who knows what is next. I have actually been impressed the past few weeks on well everything has been going.

I pulled 90% of my bankroll out on Jan 17th or so and have slowly put back and now I am at 33% of what I had around Christmas and plan to go up more soon.

It is what it is. I have known since the 1st day years ago that it was a risk sending money to any of these places, that I may never see it again.

I have never understood the "is that book safe" question that have been popping up lately, as this has pretty much always been the case.

If anything the industry has GROWN around the world by leaps and bounds and maybe proving it doesn't need US customers as much as we thought to survive. These books must be making money and are not leaving just because the US is, they still have an image to uphold.

I am not overly worried about getting stiffed. I have to have about 30 units out there for me to get down what I need to. The thing that pisses me off more is all the hidden costs that used to be something I made money at and am now losing with, like w/d and reload fees. The industry has did a complete 180 on them.

Bottom line like anything in life, the positives out weigh the negatives FOR ME right now. So onward we go:dancefool

After reading my post again I highly doubt anyone is going to admit it. Like I said at the end of my last post the key question is: DO THEY POSITIVES OUT WEIGH THE NEGATIVES FOR YOU IN THIS? If not then I guess staying out is best for some.

Different question for me, but no I don't regret it. I'm 90% out of offshore (still have Pinny, Oly, couple others small), but moved the money to Euro/Aussie books, so I'm still doing the same, just with different opportunities/sports.

That said, if my money was offshore, I may have lost less the last 10 days or so!

I never left except to withdraw my NETeller funds on January 15th. As a matter of fact I added a click2pay account before they closed out USA members and I'm glad I did. Just added epassporte for added insurance. Have only deposited with C2P at this juncture! Haven't withdrawn anything though!

Locals? Come on guys. I use and love locals as much as the next guy but we all left them for a reason back in the day. I guess if you are doing this to just bet a game here or there than that is fine but to make any kind of decent money, playing against just locals is tough (unless you get one who uses newspaprer lines, man I miss him. LOL). Plus I love my halftimes!!!

I have everything pulled out and feel relief to have it. Our gov. has shown they are determined to stop this and will stop at nothing. It only takes a minute to have your funds locked up and can happen at any time. I don't think I'll ever trust any offshore again to the extent that I did, regardless what happens in the next few years. If they can do what they did to pinny and neteller, it's never safe as far as I'm concerned.

Not at all. It will be March or April before we know which books are insolvent. Right now it is still ok to say we are working on checks.

This is kind of my point, what most are saying here. I am not under the belief that in a few months it will be what most will call safer. You could always say that about this can't you? Just the way I fell about this.

We have always lived with the threat of any and every book could be gone in the middle of the nite. The ones that have stayed through the latest aftermath seem to be in for the long haul now, in my eyes. How much worse can get than what has just happened? Books seem like they will go thru hoops to keep customers now. Maybe we are seeing how profitable this is from the books standpoint.

If you are never coming back than that is fine in my eyes, that is your decision. I respect that one. I fully understand the ramifactions of having money offshore right now and it just seems to out weigh not having it for me, as the threat of being stiffed is no higher today than it will be in a few months. If I was never coming back than I too would be gone for good.

There will always be books closing down. This would have and will continue no matter what laws the US puts in place.

My question was more do you regret the money you could be making by being out of the game right now?

I can imagine that would put a sour taste in mouth about the whole industry if I was in the middle of that mess.

I disagree on your assessment of risk. There is always more risk after football season, and after March Madness than a month before a new football season.

No, the possibility of funds being tied up/frozen outweighs the money that could be made (or lost) during this time. I'm not concerned with the solvency of the books I was at. The money will always be there to be made once the landscape stablizes a bit. I have about 40 more years of possible wagering in my future, skipping out some months in the middle won't be the end of the world.

you gotta find a local who lets you put your action in online. all the comforts of betting with an offshore but you get to settle up with a person and get your cash each week.

First of all Ice you are WAY premature. WAY PREMATURE. The initial danger zone is still here. I am still offshore some and battling hard. As far as needing the US, well I think maybe just maybe the good books are thinking long term...that new and better method will pop up and that things cannot be stopped. In anything in life think long term....people think too short term. I have always said since months and months ago that they only thing for sure is that NOBODY KNOWS. NOBODY knows what is going to happen from here and it is all speculation otherwise. Many many people have been proven wrong (Dawoofdaddy is smiling somewhere on this)...good day and peace.

I pulled everything out last month thinking I was done forever. But around the Super Bowl, I redeposited some funds back. Just can't stay away.
