GoGo will be in Vegas 2/23-3/1. Mrs GoGo who is a big Cirque fan will be along for a few days. It looks like there are 4 main Cirque shows running in Vegas. Can someone help GoGo with some recommendations/pros/cons of the shows?

My favorites ones that I've seen in the order I would see them.

1) O at the Bellagio. I think it's the best show. Huge water tank and they use it well. Great acrobatics. I've seen it three times and would see it again.

2) KA at MGM Grand. Visually a stunning show. Lots of "wow" factors in the show. Pretty cool.

3) Mystere. I haven't seen this show in probably almost 10 years. It was the first Cirque show I saw in Vegas. Awesome. I might have put it second but it's been so long since I've seen it.

I saw the Beatles show this past Christmas at the Mirage and it was...okay. It's more of a song and dance show. Very very little acrobatics. Sometimes I would think the stuff they were doing on the stage had nothing to do with the Beatles song they were playing. One song (I forgot which one) it was some dude dancing with 3-4 other ladies. It wasn't even great. Just basic dancing.

I enjoyed the Beatles song but I would see the three above first before this one.

Hope this helps some.

I've only seen Mystere (in 1998) but thought it was very good.

I heard all the Cirque de Soleil shows are great in Vegas. Never got around to seeing any of them on my few trips there, but I have heard you cannot go wrong with any. "O" sounds like it is the best.

My wife and I loved Love - the Beatles themed one.

I have seen Mystere and O a couple of times and they are both great, with O having a bit more wow factor.

Zumanity can be fun, depending on how open minded your group is. It would be my fourth pick.

I have not seen KA, but have not heard anything good (from locals) about it. I know 2 couples that walked out.

Thanks
Rick

I've been to Vegas about 100 times and the only show I've seen was an afternoon topless show called "Bottoms Up" at the Flamingo. It was pretty entertaining especially since it was free with a $5 drink.

I'd like to meet the ones who walked out of KA. Having seen all of them except the Beatles one, Ka is my fave with O just a bit behind - doing all the stunts wet is ridiculous, but Ka amazes...

I will say none have ever been bad dates

Jestein, GoGo and the Mrs ending up seeing O at the Bellagio. Overall it was a good show..the Mrs really enjoyed it. We got drunked up at the Bellagio afterwards so it was a good night overall.

We also participated in the Price is Right at Bally's. GoGo was a big fan in his younger days so getting a chance to participate was cool. Tickets were like $45 each and it was pretty entertaining even though was not able to get onstage to play a game in the Bird suit. We also caught a comedy show at the dumpy Tropicana. The comics were pretty funny.
Finally, we did the Madame Tousielle or whatever its called at the Venetian. Took some cool pics with wax celebrities including one with GoGo in between Jenna Jameson's legs.

Coupled with staying next door to a couple of internet porn chicks it was a great trip overall. Lost just a tad at the tables and got back about $600 in comps.
