I am thinking about laying my entire account on the Spurs ML -300. $1800 to win $600. I just don't see the Spurs losing back to back to back, especially to a team they have beaten 7 straight times.... Or should I go buy lotto scratchers instead? In the past, I debated this before making a big bet and lets just say I would've been better off buying the scratchers. But the most I've ever won was $10. Or should I wait for the Spurs vs. Pistons tomorrow. I would go big on Spurs ML because I think they win that game too.I guess I have a cavalier attitude because I built up the $1800 from $17... was down to $1000 yesterday but went big with NM ST ML to build it back up. So I keep thinking it's "house money"......

Spurs -6.5? Too risky. With my luck, Spurs will be up 9 and Parker bricks both FTs and VC hits a half court shot to cover. One of my improbable wins was few years ago when Spurs were up 6, Parker bricks both FTs and Magloire hit a miracle shot at the buzzer to cover my Hornets +4.5.

I could buy 1800 scratchers.... but what are the odds I win at least $1800 to break even? Probably worse odds than Spurs -300, right?

Good question SportSavant...... I guess it's because I've been plugging away everyday for over a week but not making any progress. I've been yo-yoing between $1000-$1800 and really want to break the $2000 barrier. I feel Spurs ML are the proverbial "L--K" tonight. Still got 7 hours to change my mind though.

why do you feel compelled to wager your entire balance tonight?
exactly...seems way out of your unit range for the amt of balance you have....no way you should do that , but what do I know IMO, take 100$ bet the line ..Looks like your trying to go " ALL IN " for the rush and to make a big hit. If you can not stay disiplined you should not be betting and just play the lotto

best of luck in what you decide

Think of it like this...sooner or later one of these 'sure things' will lose...and when a gambler is going to the 'well' as you are , everytime they get stuck in a rut or not making money fast enough, sooner or later you will lose that last game and have a 0 acct balance .

You really don't care about that money I realize that...funny how gamblers have this mentality, it's not uncommon at all.

Don't do it bro. Even though JKidd is out and looks like the stars are alligned but bad money management will leave you broke sooner or later.

Don't do it. Go out and get smashed and don't bet any games, you will feel great at the end of the night. It's like that episode of the sopranos where Tony decides not to intervene and kill the soccer coach who had sex with the teenager even though he wants to with all his energy.

If i were you and i would cash $1000 of that out and buy you something real nice, if it was me i would buy a new compound bow like the reflex super slam, that way you have something to show for no matter what. I know how you feel buddy, i get up real big from some tiny amount and all of sudden no amount is enough to win until i lose it all, and start over.
good luck with your choice

OK you guys convinced me not to go all in, well, what really happened was waited too long and it shot up to -500... so not worth the risk.

Went Spurs ML & Mavs ML parlay small instead.

I always scratch my head when people use trends too much. Specifically such as "The Spurs have beaten the Nets 7 times in a row". They then use this as their main, and sometimes sole argument to lay money down.

I guess not everyone understands laws of probability the Nets are bound to win one soon.

However, I also scratch my head when people say a team is due, though. They then use this as their main, and sometimes sole argument to lay money down. Because streaks happen, and some last 4 years or even longer and then are broken (see: Gonzaga last night).

I guess what I'm saying is trends are overated. They're a good tool, but don't use it as your only weapon.
