As you have stated, you have heard many people on the forums, as well as conversations in person state that the DB service has been taking a nose-dive since you left. From a business standpoint, and a competing company, I can feel the impact of your departure too. So my question is this:

Does it give you pleasure in knowing that you (and possibly sam) were the glue that held together a multi-million dollar company? Or are you a little saddened that a company you worked for and helped build is taking a nose dive?

I am not sure which way I would feel. Because after a few years, whether you are there or not it would seem like there is still some loyalty, and some hope that the company succeeds. But then on the other hand, who knows, I might take pride in the fact that when I was at the wheel, everything was going well.

I could not survive without Don Best Premium(since 1996). Rick knows there is a loyal customer base that will never leave unless something radical happens within the industry. Good Luck

Mike,

It saddens me. I left with absolutely no animosity in my mind, and have tried to help every chance I’ve had. However, the CEO of Fun Technologies had a real problem with me leaving, so I believe that left the management there some what reluctant to listen to me. (It did not help when they hired the CEO’s uncle!)

I have a pretty strong sense of loyalty in me, so it is difficult to let go. But DB has made it clear that they are not interested in my opinions, or with theRX, so I am trying to move on.

The future will be really interesting. It was a tough decision, but I am really happy that I decided to leave DB. I believe the future of theRX is a lot brighter and I am excited to be a part of it.

Thanks,
Rick

I will admit, I was the first to question your departure from DB. I thought you had gone insane. And then, after all of the happenings that transpired in this industry, again I found myself wondering. I have heard that the people behind theRX will do whatever it takes to succeed. Stating that, and seeing the recent heading of DB and LVSC, I too believe you made the right decision.
