Bavetta if he gets to -350. He has to weigh at least 100 pounds less than Barkley and he runs the court on a regular basis. If it were a jaw flapping contest, Barkley would be a no brainer.

I heard this is at the Greek. Where abouts?

Barkley was on Leno last night talking about the race and says he is a lock to win it. Personally I doubt it. He also said he lost 2.5 Million dollars in 6 hours playing blackjack recently. Also mentioned he won $100,000 grande on the Colts in the Super Bowl.

I cannot believe everyone on here thinks Bavetta will win. Barkley should definately not be a large dog. Way more quickness than Bavetta and it isnt a long race.

I believe I once read or heard Dick Bavetta runs 6 miles a day.

What I dont understand is why all the talk about DB since hes the 3rd eldest nba referee.

Believe both Jess Kersey and Jack Nies are older than DB.

DB should beat sir charles in this race.

Well, DB also seems to have no problem getting up and down the court a few nights a week while refereeing nba games.

Agree with you that if a longer race Chuck would have no chance to win.

yes slow enough to be out of position on many calls. He is an awful ref these days. How people still talk like he is one of the best is beyond me.

bodog now has Barkley +200/Bavetta -300.

That is some shitty vig. I've noticed that Bodog can still be beaten, even with their sometimes rediculous -135/-135 like odds.

So they're racing either the length of the court (94ft) or 100 yds?

Either way, I don't see how Barkley, who's gotta be nearing 400lbs, could possibly outrun someone who is fit and works out every day. I mean even while he was playing, a slimmer Barkley was slow as hell.

They had that Michael Jordan golf tourney from the bahamas a few weeks ago on ESPN last night. Barkley could hardly walk and had a big hitch in his step (not to mention his swing). Unless he's faking , I don't see how he could win.
