Agreed. Not to compare forums but we know that some other forums have PM features that work just fine. Swapping e-mail addresses only add more tedious responsibilities to any/all moderators here at theRX.
Then there are times where I want to chat with a specific poster about something to follow up on a few days later but my only way is to bump the thread up.... or create a new thread (like carolinakid had to do) just to get someone's attention to this one.
Mods, what was/is the reason for no PM feature? Any history on this that I'm not familiar about (as I'm still "new" being around only 6 months)?

i have been pushing for the pm feature for eons. Mods are afraid some will use it to spam, though that doesn't really happen anywhere else. I tend to think that they do not want any information shared privately so they would rather be bothered by the "can you give choptalk my email?" requests.
I set up a poll asking posters if they would like to have the pm function. Over half said yes, but it was not a large majority if I am remembering correctly. Pehaps it is time for a new poll

This forum wont be the same without your baseball bad-beat threads and 9 out of 10 winning seasons is still excellent.
I wouldn't waste my time with baseball either if I was making a killing in poker. How can you beat sitting through 30+ online tournaments and only losing a few hundred bucks a week for a living?
