The first thing I thought of was McGwire's HR to break Maris' record. I tried to watch Bonds break McGwire's record but the game wasnt' shown on TV for some reason. I was pissed.

1. Watching the clock wind down as GREEN BAY won Superbowl XXXI.

2. Foulke flipping the ball to 1B giving the RED SOX their WORLD SERIES VICTORY.

3. Lute Olsen leading his Hawkeye basketball team into the IOWA FIELDHOUSE at 1am in the morning to a standing room only crowd after the Hawkeyes had just returned home after defeating Georgetown to advance to the FINAL FOUR in 1980.

I could list at least 100 moments..............and my top three would probably change daily.

HONORABLE MENTION currently.......

Watching BEN CRENSHAW win the Masters.......
The LIGHTNING defeating Philadelphia to advance to the CUP FINALS.....
IOWA defeating MSU after the death of Chris Street ........

VERY BROAD QUESTION..........been watching a lot of sports over the years.........to much.

In person---USC vs. ND a couple years back, tough when ND lost at the end but doubt i'll ever see a greater game and ending in person.

TV---Who knows, too many, but pretty damn memorable seeing STL beat Tennessee in the Super Bowl, last second goaline stop...one of the best super bowl endings ever.

Sean Dockery's 50 footer to beat VA Tech would be #1 if I hadn't been abroad.

everyone in mass will have game4 of the 04' WorldSeries bc of the finality of it... BUT...it was anticlimatic at that point....

games 4/5 vs the yankees in extra inning were beyond gut wrenching....

game6 they lead but it was close the whole way and it has the bloody sock factor to it....schilling was bronzed in boston forever after that game

game7 was probably most enjoyable bc it was in front of their fans and the way the redsox pouced on them early, watching that game was the best feeling in the world once damon's ball landed in the upperdeck for a 6-0 redsox lead...

buckner 86 was HUGE too, my dad woke me up to watch that...im sure with 1000s of other 9 and 10year olds across the state....THANKS DAD!

Pats Superbowl win vs the Rams, bc NO ONE gave them a shot...then they get announced as a team and all come running out of the tunnel and i said to myself "oh shit"...:suomi:

i was in a cardgame at the time and unfortunately didnt watch it live but ive always been a big Shark fan, im sure the 96 masters (i think it was 96) is on some peoples list...

i watched van de velde live tv at the british and to this day im still amazed at how he GAVE that tourney away on 18

there is something about watching golf, i know many cant stand it but i throughly enjoy watching it on tv and there has been MANY big moments the last 10years since tiger came into his own...tiger himself has many as we know....

im sure secrateriat (sp) winning the belmont is on a lot of peoples list who were old enough at the time to watch it....that must have been amazing to watch if your a big horse fan...and at the time there was no bigger...

In person the 89 playoff game, Browns vs Buffalo when Clay matthews stopped the Bills drive with an interception.

On tv the 86 playoff game Browns vs Jets when they made the comeback to win in double OT.

I can't think of a great third one right now. I live in Cleveland so we made more memoable moments for other teams than we had for ourselves.

David Cool kicking the ArenaBowl winning FG for my Predators into the net I was sitting right behind... sorry, nothing came close for me than that, AFL or not...

Vince Young scoring the game winning TD against USC in probably the best football game I've ever seen.

Joe Carter's World Series ending HR.

Honorable mention to Chris Duhon for nailing the 3 against UConn in the Final Four game a few years ago because I had Duke +1.5... Vegas cleaned up on that one!

I also can't believe nobody's mentioned "Do you believe in miracles?" yet... Before my time.

In Person:

1. 2007 Indy-NE AFC Championship game.
2. 1987 Twins-Cards World Series- games 6 & 7.
3. 1991 Twins-Braves World Series- games 1 & 2.

On TV
1. 1980 USA Hockey vs. Russia. I still end up in tears watching the end of that.
2. 1975 Reds-Red Sox game 6 of the world series. Even though I was a Reds fan that was a classic.

Too many others to mention.

ON TV only unfortunately - "Do You Believe in Miracles"?

The "Miracle on Ice" February 22nd 1980 when a bunch of amateur college aged hockey players beat the mighty Russian Olympic Hockey Team 3-2 at Lake Placid New York..(USA later won Gold against Finland)..

Kenny Rogers perfect game in 94 I think at the Ballpark in Arlington.

MJ's last shot with the Bulls over Bryon Russell.

Chris Webber's timeout, I wanted to throw up.

You could make a top 10 list just from the NCAA tournament. Since I'm not a big fan of Duke...I'll default to this

1. Drew Tate to Warren Holloway to give the Hawkeyes a win over LSU in the Capitol One Bowl.

2. Kordell Stewert to Michael Westbrook, Colorado over Michigan.

3. Game in '98 when Sosa hit his 61st and 62nd homers. Great game overall in which Grace ends it with a walk off homer against the Brewers with Sammy on deck.
