It's not overrated; everyone knows it's a weak conference this season.

Very top-heavy, obviously. Yes, they have two legit title contenders...but there isn't another legit team in the entire league. Hopefully it'll only get 3 bids, although I doubt it'll happen.

I wouldn't say it's over-rated. More like unwatchable. Unless you guys like 42-40 games.

The exactly. The big 10 is a freaking joke, nobody thinks its any good, therefore it isn't overrated.

It must not be a good league, they have the two highest ranked teams in the country this week.

MSU, ILL, Iowa are having down years so the league is down as a whole but 2 of those 3 will make the dance in my opinion.

IOWA currently in 4th place..........what does that say?

Not a top five conference this year.......although having the nations top two teams does give the conference some overall credibility.

Ohio State and Wisky are both very, very good clubs.

You really think 5 teams from the B 10 are getting in this year..indiana and two of those three plus the top 2?

I can't see it.

Unless there is an upset in the conference tourney..........would have to say the BIG TEN is getting FOUR teams at the VERY MOST............

Some believe that ONLY three teams will qualify.

I personally believe that FOUR is the magic number.

I think we could still see 5 and probably will...When i said I can't see it I meant I don't believe 5 are really worthy.

One thing to consider though the 3rd 4th 5th place teams could all be above .500 and all had 4 conference games vs what is now the #1 and #2 teams in the country.

Iowa could end up 10-6 and they've looked like dog shit.

I think 4 is a LOCK and 5 will most likely in....Most can agree that UW,OSU and IU are all in....Then there are are two other teams with 19 wins with 4 games left plus Big Ten tourney. I think ILL gets #20 at home against Michigan in their next game and still have Penn State and Iowa left....MSU has a tougher schedule but should get one at least and a 20 win, Tom Izzo coached team should get in..thats 5 and there are some other such as Michigan,Iowa, Purdue could all make a a late season run. Time will tell-

As a conference, I put the Big 10 as the 6th best behind, in no particular order:

Pac 10
ACC
SEC
Big East
Big 12

I believe they will get at least 4 teams and possbly 5 in the Big Dance, namely:

Ohio State
Wisconsin
Indiana
Illinois and/or Michigan State

That being said, however, both Ohio State and Wisconsin, are legitimate threats in the Tournament. Believe Wisconin can go as far as the Elite 8 and Ohio State is a contender for the title. Title contenders IMHO are, in no particular order:

UCLA
Florida
Ohio State

One of these three takes the title.

I'll be the first to admit that Illinois sucks. Iowa also sucks, and Michigan St isn't very good. Wisky and Ohio St are for real, though.

As far as the MVC, the people saying that conference is overrated are just wrong. Of course their conference rating is gonna drop when they beat up on each other.

Most conferences beat up on each other. The MVC was exposed by Withrop and Drexel this past weekend. The only capable team in that conference is Southern Illinois.
