Bookies in Las Vegas, Nevada!?

Might be a silly question, but i really don't know, plus I'm a rookie - 17posts only, i can ask silly questions, lol. Anyways, my question is the following. Are there bookie places in Las Vegas where you simply walk in to a place and place your bet there? I was in Europe last year and over there it's really popular. Cafe type of places where you watch the games on numerous screens and place your bets right there. Are there such 'cafes' in Vegas?

No. Stand alone books do not exist in Vegas, they have gone the way of Fishhead and the dinosaurs.

There are certainly bookies however. Some sit in the shawdows of off strip books/ some are agents and others like the late Tom Gallo sit in the wide open.

Plenty of bookies in Las Vegas. You just have to be around to find em.

just about all of the Casinos have sportsbooks where you can bet on the games and watch them...if that is what you are asking?
