Still possesses a mean bat. I'd take him on my team anyday.

How do you know? He hasn't played basically in a year. In '05 his last full season he was horrible to watch in RF because he'd catch all the balls by his waist because he couldn't lift his arm up.

Not sure if that was worth the gamble for Detroit considering he's a plague in the clubhouse and if one of these young pitchers turns up to be anything good they could regret.

How do I know?? I don't know. Yes, he is getting older and Yea, he was injured last year. That happens. The 7 seasons before that he played in atleast 135 games every year. Last season, a "down" season for him, his numbers would project out to .290+, 23+ homeruns, 90+ rbi's. Not too bad if you ask me. Check his numbers the 3 years before that. Then you bring up his fielding, when he will be a DH in Detroit. A cancer? According to who? Sorry, I'd trust Derek Jeter's opinion on that one over yours. Obviously you don't like him. Which is fine, as he is one of my favorite players. But to deny that he is one of the best hitters in baseball over the last 5,6,7 years is just wrong.

Nobody mentioned his feilding. I said he was horrible to watch in right feild because his ARM WAS INJURED. His feilding was fine. The point is his ARM WAS INJURED. The man is broken down.

Projecting #'s after 39 games is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Everyone knows this roid head is a clubhouse cancer, what are you talking about he's been a pain in the ass since MILWAUKEE. How long have you been following baseball?

Hey, we'll agree to disagree. Nothing personal. Just think he'll put up solid numbers again this year. Clubhouse cancer? According to who? Another pretty good baseball guy, Jim Leyland, apparently doesn't think so.

JIM LEYLAND is the only manager who ENJOYS working with attitude. That is the only reason why Detroit got Sheffeild because he LOVED working with Barry Bonds. He likes roid heads who are a clubhouse cancer.

For the last 6 months in the media:

"If anybody can work with Sheffeild it's Leyland, because they already made it work in FL and Leyland can work with attitude"
