Fleury has played great during the Pens run. He was a mjor part of their winning streak and needs to play. They have been playing him too much IMO and rest could be a factor in his poor play the last few games. But I agree with anpyanks - I don't see any reason for Therrien to be making a big deal about this. Fleury will be the goalie come playoff time and is the goalie of the future for the Pens
Scott Clemmensen is the probable starting goalie tonight for New Jersey. Clemmensen was sent to the minors on Wednesday to play where he earned a shutout, I think. Julien wouldn't commit to Clemmensen, but even Martin Brodeur said he expected to get a day off after 32 consecutive starts reports the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
Note: The NY Post has said the same thing. Claude Julien, who wouldn't confirm that Clemmensen would end Martin Brodeur's 32-game run in the Devils' nets today.
It is highly likely that Clemmensen will start but never a guarantee.
Brent Johnson is the probable starting goalie tonight for Washington. There was no indication Johnson would get any time off right now and he has been playing well.
