I am curious what some of your opinions are on the Pinny lean now that they aren't taking American post up business? I think that it is a very valuable tool in handicapping. I am only a baseball guy so maybe some of you others can tell me if you've noticed that the lean isn't quite as sharp or accurate since they got out of US market?

The problem is, Pinny leans were never sharp.

the single most important reason I and many others win at this. Follow it religiously and you will win.

Do a search on it and you will get alot of info.

to answer you question it seems to be every bit as sharp as before (IMO). I have hit right around 55% over 800 plays in FEB and had the same results all hoops season following the pinny lean.

Pinny lean, Cris lean or any sharp book lean. If you bet bad numbers at square books you will eventually win.

Add Cascade to that list...those lines are much sharper than many realize

It seems that when Cascade and Pinny are both leaning the same way, it doesn't miss

I'm glad u responded bc I really wanted to hear your opinion. I heard you say that you were unsuccessful during baseball season using the pinny lean as a tool? I know I used it exclusivley last year in baseball and I was really successful. My worry is this: Is pinny sharp because they put on the sharpest bettors and more there lines according to their action and if so weren't allot of those sharp bettors americans? I'd be willing to bet that their sharpest action has had to go elsewhere, or am I wrong about that?

Pinny leans always have been and still are overrated. When pinny differs from the other books it means someone placed a big bet recently. Sure, sometimes it's a sharp or a pro or a beard that did that, but more often than not it's a square with big bucks.

Best strategy = ignore the leans, just go with the best number.

When you won with bases last year where were you placing these wagers? I want to make sure we are on the same page.

With locals almost exclusively.

okay. I thought you were going to say you bet at Pinny, as that would not be the Pinny lean. As you can't bet the Pinny lean with Pinny. I am sure you knew that but sometimes people get confused.

I try to bet the lines you can scalp with them and follow pretty much the same thing which I did in hoops and football so successfully which was to beat the closing line and have a positive imaginary scalp with Pinny's closing number with the opposite side.

I really felt I was getting top notch numbers with my plays and I bet/played well but the results were not there. I am pretty sure the HUGE bettors have set up accounts with Pinny and lets face it their money controls the market and is the side I want ot be on in any sport.

You have any advice? I may go with a 90% dog bias and bet them. Not sure know I will try my hardets and hope to learn and make a little this year.

The pinny lean could be sharper than ever....

the reason is simple, betting syndicates and other Pros are still playing at Pinny I am sure, they have surely found methods with foreign addresses and such....

the smaller players are no longer there to balance the action....

very very good point and something I have noticed but I have always felt like CBB is controlled by sharp money more than any sport.

that is a good point and I had not thought about that. I guess any player who is sharp enough to win, is sharp enough to figure out how to get down at pinny huh? makes sense

I would say no one knows for sure but I have noticed zero dropoff. I cant imagine your average Joe going thru all the hoops to get an account there. I would think only the sharpest of the shaprs american bettors are betting there. Like I said I not only use them, I also a use a market number based on the consensus of 3-5 SHARP books to help me.

You could probably give me more advice than I could give you. One area I may be able to help you in is the use of locals. I've got some interesting theories. I'd rather discuss it over email if you're interested? Get my email from a mod or you can email me at joeykil at gmail dot com

I just e-mailed you. I love exchanging any thoughts and ideas with others who follow the same style/methods I do.
