Does horse racing have a 'season' or is it something that happens all year round?

Thanks

In the good ole days they would break in between meets, meaning when they ended Santa Anita 3 weeks would go by and then Hollywood park would open.

The horses fesh and the players recouped.

Well there is kind of a season..were are getting into 3yr old derby season, and when we come out of the Triple Crown season, you start to look towards Breeders Cup in late October usally...The winter months would be the slow time, but they do run all year

There are tracks running all year, but for serious horse bettors, April 1st through November 30th are the peak earning months.

Sometimes I think I would be better off skipping horses December 1st through March 31st and just focus on basketball instead.

there are circuits that follow as well.....when santa anita is off the horses/jocks/trainers ship to hollywood. that meet ends then they ship to bay meadows or golden gate. its usually a regional loop that your able to follow all the players. the biggest hyped "season" is right now for the 3 year old tripple crown run. not the best for gamlbing though......that comes on october 27th this year :money8:

There is no off-season in the world of horse betting; good wagering oppurtunities can happen at any track at any time of the year in any kind of race.
