Seriously....something you very much enjoy, and love doing? That is, spending days and hours on end doing for a living and for the most part, love doing?

making money.

I know that sounds shallow but I like to hear and read other success stoires and than possibily apply them. The problem is most of us just dream and dont do, myself included. I was sort of a screwup from ages 20-30 and then I got a high paying job and now with some money in my pocket it gives you alot more power to accomplish goals.

I think passion is the #1 trait a person can have. I have a buddy who trains horses and even though he don't have a pot to piss in right now,I will follow him and be involved with him in this adventure. There isnt much doubt in my mind he will succeed because of his passion. This is the #1 thing I look for in a partner in anything.

Game design has always been my passion, specifically virtual worlds. This (Gambling) pays the bills until I complete my masters, as I want to go more towards the research / independent side than the corporate world

mines is borderline obsession. I think it is the only reason I am ahead in life. I work with 10 other guys in a commision structure job where you make what you put into it. In 5 years I have made more then everyone that works there, every year. It is a competitive game to me that is rewarded financially.

I honestly have 35 gambling books at my house that I have read. I have 10 real estate books, 15 or so stock investing books, another 20 or so goal setting books.

I think most people go to work and come home and have other interests and making money is not as important because there job is not set up like mine and they are handcuffed on what they can do. I kind of think of life as a big game and they keep score by making money and that is my goal in life right now. In a few years it will be something else (probably a family) but now it is that.

as far as making money..

1. markets (specifically commodities, even more specific -- the grains)

2. sports ( would love to combine these 2)...

i am currently on day 41 of a 540 day plan to change careers.......... it is more than a passion with me......

i have this detailed super 18 month plan,,,,,,,,,, culminating with becoming a fulltime trader.......... hopefully the offshore world is straightened out by then, so i can combine the 2......

also my passion for the most part with sports wagering, is in system developing........

That is a shame IMO.

Anyway, to answer the question, I guess I have two passions. Numbers (mainly various forecasting methods, not gambling related), and booze.

i guarantee you that im the only person on this forum, that has thought about the soybean market all weekend.........

i bought (went long) 2 may soybean contracts at the close friday.......

Long 2 may soybeans 794.00

currently they sit at 794.00

the market for overnight trading opens in less than an hour......... tomorrow will be a big day for me, one way or the other....... im in the process of putting together a longer term trade with this position but regardless, i need the grain bull to continue.......

Harry Carry............. well i make or lose $100 for every cent that beans move......... because im holding 2 contracts....... and soybeans are the cadillac of the markets.........

if i had to choose 2 markets to trade specifically........ one would be soybeans and the other would be the sp 500...............

realistically however, i need to stick with the grains......... its what i know best and do the best at.........

i currently chart and trade 7 markets nightly.......

Trading commodities, is like speaking chinese to 95% of the american public...... they simply dont know this type of trading exists........

SSI I have in the past been seriously interested in Soy beans too...my time is limited though, I am at a point where I can invest pretty heavily in that now and plan on doing so.

I have never had a full time job my entire life where I had to report anywhere for 40 hours a week...hopefully I will always work for myself, I suppose that is my passion in that respect.
