My sources gave me these right before the show started.. Already got down on Happy Feet and Alan Arkin earlier..

Lost with Little Miss Sunshine though..

Bad info I got there.. Heard it was a really close vote..

Were you happy to see Alan Arkin win sir?

I didn't bet on anything but best picture (lost with Babel) but I was glad to see Arkin win but was also rooting for Eddie Murphy because he has made me laugh over the years more than Arkin has. I was glad to see Scorsese finally get a statue as his work has always been enjoyable for me over time also.

Did Jack Nicholson look strange or what, call me crazy but IMO he did not look real healthy.

I'm a big fan of Scorsese..

Goodfellas and Casino are my two favorite movies of all time..

Enjoyed Raging Bull and Taxi Driver a lot as well.. Would of been a travesity if he were denied this..

I didn't even recognize Jack when they showed him in the audience several times throughout the show. He looked like he aged 15yrs since filming The Departed..

Wil, I read that Eddie may have gotten some backlash from the whole "Norbit" movie. Many of the voters may have been swayed from the non-serious comedic (yet from a lot of my friends a very funny) movie.

I think Nicholson had that look for a project thats coming up.

Thats what I was thinking, he looks like an overweight Lex Luthor.

I also heard the Norbit theory, who knows..

A gambling first for me..

I just found an article claiming British Sportsbook William Hill starting paying off best actress Oscar bets on Helen Mirren five days ago.

BBC News...

WIlliam Hill has done this before paying out wagers on teams that are sure to finish first in the standings before the season is over, things like that.
