Watching him play in the cash game on TV showed how bad he was. Just watched him get eliminated from US poker open. He went all in drawing dead and asked for a call which he got... LOL

Moneymaker vs Gold heads up, who wins and why?

I'd go Moneymaker, just because he hasn't done shit since his 2003 win and is due to get lucky again.

I don't care who you are, you have to get lucky several times to win a tournament with 9,000 players.

The least talented champions in order were:
1) Varkonyi
2) Moneymaker
3) Gold

The opposite order for who was the luckiest because they had to go through a much later field each time.

PS. If David Williams had won I would of put him as #3 and Gold as #4 He improved after finishing runner up and hanging with and learning from lots of great players later.

Gold played like a donkey on High Stakes poker TV show. They were begging him not to leave....

Last year 4 guys put up 1k each to the The mouth so he would stay and play. He ended up dumping around 100k... Hilarous...

It amazes me that Greg Raymer won in 2004 and came 25th in 2005. That is, in my opinion, more difficult than winning twice pre poker boom era considering the feild and the general increase of poker and knowledge because of the boom.
