Watching him play in the cash game on TV showed how bad he was. Just watched him get eliminated from US poker open. He went all in drawing dead and asked for a call which he got... LOL
he also promised a 1 mill tip to the dealers but stiffed them ...didnt tip a single penny....my g/f at the time was one of those dealers and she asked him a month later in the caribean tourney why did u lied to us u punk....he replied oh i'm still gonna tip gimee ur name and address and i'll send u 10g's....fuking scumbag liar
no you gotta get lucky several times to make it past the 1st day.....show u the kinda luck these guys have. watching Hachem the other night. 3 people in the pot and he has 24os...he tells them he's raising and that he might go all-in on the flop blind...he flopped trips and makes quads on the turn!!!!
The least talented champions in order were:
1) Varkonyi
2) Moneymaker
3) Gold
The opposite order for who was the luckiest because they had to go through a much later field each time.
PS. If David Williams had won I would of put him as #3 and Gold as #4 He improved after finishing runner up and hanging with and learning from lots of great players later.
It amazes me that Greg Raymer won in 2004 and came 25th in 2005. That is, in my opinion, more difficult than winning twice pre poker boom era considering the feild and the general increase of poker and knowledge because of the boom.
