I have not seen 12 (forget 20) people say they're down to play for $100. You two (themanej & kojak) need to get this shit situated. I'd rather do ESPN rather than Yahoo but like someone already said, the commissioner package runs for about $100 (tops) at most spots. I don't know how league structures work, but I was thinking we do 16 teams, 4 divisions, 8 playoff teams. I know half the league making the playoffs sounds gay, but it'll keep a lot more teams in the race and the 8th seeded team may end up winning it all easily. If we do 16 teams, $100 each, that's $1600 - $100 for the league website/setup/etc. (which the commissioner of the league can pay and then he wouldn't have to put in for the league since he's already putting up his $100 for the site), leaving us to split the $1500 up for the winners. Here's how I would divide that money...
Champion: $800
Runner-Up: $400
3rd & 4th: $150
As for who would hold the money, we can use Paypal althought I would hate to give up the fees for every transaction. Another possibility is leaving it in a betting account but I don't think we can get 16 guys to all agree on who's account it goes in (you're all addicted gamblers and would probably lose that money anyway! lol). Sending it to one of the mods would be a good idea as well.
I have two requests: 1) has to be a live draft), 2) has to be on a Saturday. I think almost all of us are available between 11AM-3PM on Saturdays are we not? I'm available all day Friday and Saturday (except the evenings of course).
The season is 4 weeks away, let's get going ladies!
