Has anybody heard any updates on this? I heard Joe Rogan hint to it in an online interview but saying he thought it was mostly just Japanese business tactics to fake a sale to boost ratings...however the hell that works...so didn't really think too much more about.

Then I was watching the weekly Pride show Sunday night and the 3 fights they had on were 1 of Anderson Silva, 1 of Crocop and 1 of Rampage Jackson...all recently signed UFC fighters. Now it could be just recognition that UFC fighters are generally more recognizable anymore by casual fight watchers and looking to boost ratings or literally looking to draw interest to UFC.

Any updates on this matter ol' insightfuls ones?

I sat with Ed Fishman Saturday Night at Pure...he told me his purchase was a done deal. He was also three sheets to the wind, so take that for what its worth. Alot of the headliners from the fight were with him (Shogun, Lil Nog, Trigg, etc.)

UFC (Dana White) has openly stated that they have brought offers to the table but then Pride backs off...like they are playing games. UFC wants it, but they are going to tire of Pride's bullshit....so they will undermine them by continuing to pursue Pride's best fighters and offering big money contracts.

regarding them showing silva, crocop, and jackson on the pride show... unless i missed a show, weren't all three of them defeated in the fights shown... just pride trying to bring them down since these three are having/will have success in the ufc

No, Silva lost to one of the Japanese guys by some kind of crazy leaping leg bar when both were standing.

But CroCop and Jackson both won convincingly. It was the Rampage fight where he basically powerbombed the guy and ko'd him.

they've also recently shown the crocop/randleman fight where crocop gets KO'd.. and the rampage/silva fight where jackson eats about three dozen knees from silva... but i have seen the fights that you were referring to as well.. that powerslam to arona was ridiculous

Now Fishman is suing Pride and Pride has canceled their April US show.

Not looking good for Pride...
