Is Bodog any good?

I have poker accounts and sports betting accounts, but since all of these new laws I haven't really been active any more. I love the idea of having one account for poker and sports betting. I was trying to decide between Bodog and Sportsbook.com, but Bodog seems to be better.

The only problem is, can I use a prepaid Visa card to deposit? Also, why do they want you to send copies of your drivers license and passport? There's no way I'm sending that kind of info out.

What is everybody's experience with Bodog? Are they worth signing up with? Did you send your drivers license and passport, or is there a way to deposit and withdraw without having to do that?

Thanks!

NO. Suffering at one place is not worth it just to consolidate your poker and sports.

Bodog is worthless now that they have no bottomless deposit bonus. Terrible juice, late lines, not many lines (no totals/ML for most CBB).

Further, they've had trouble paying and recently lied to me about a payout--I requested a check by courier, didn't receive it for a week, asked them, they said they sent it by USPS since they don't do courier after I requested it (when my address doesn't get USPS). Now, 2 weeks after that, they told me they're now doing it via WU, so they were actually lying to me the whole time about sending it out via USPS.

Also, on a superbowl prop they tried to freeroll me by putting up bad terms, then declaring my bet no action when it actually won. (Got it fixed by wil, but still sleazy.)

Use PokerStars for poker, matchbook for sports.

Great for poker, poor for sports

Exactly right, I liked them for playing poker. Hated sports betting there. I actually was a Bowman transfer to Bodog. Got tired of late lines, slow payment, etc. So I cashed out (still have not gotten the check) and am at the Greek now.

love bodog here

Just curious as to what you love about bodog royalfan? The poker? Sports? Props? Thanks.

I really have a hard time understanding their payout process. I had a friend recently who also was given the runaround on a payout. Here is what their website states:

After being processed from your eCash account, a Priority Post check should be mailed within approximately 17 - 20 business days. Once mailed, your Priority Post check will arrive within a 3 business day delivery standard for most US destinations and tracking information will be posted into your Bodog account.

So they are pretty much saying that you will get your money in a month. Am I the only one who finds this pretty ridiculous?

I liked bodog but recently had some trouble with a payout from them, it took over 2 weeks. They would flatout lie to me- I would recieve an e-mail saying that the check has been processed and was on the way, and a few days later another saying that the money would be coming another way. Meaning that the first statement was untrue. At this point I would avoid them.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm going to stay away from both Bodog and Sportsbook.com. Both of them seem like too much of a risk.

I already have an account with PokerStars and Matchbook, so I'm just going to stick with them.

I was easily able to deposit into PokerStars today with one of those Walgreens giftcards.

Really? Didn't know that about PokerStars. Thanks for the heads up. I also am just playing mostly at matchbook right now. But I made a deposit in at bodog the other day because I found a prop bet i liked quite a bit. Unfortunately I didn't read about their payout policies before that. I had used them in the past with no problems, and I know everything is different now. But still find their payout time excessive, in addition to the stories I have now read and heard. Oh well. GL.

Have cashed out from Bodog 2 times via western union since neteller went down - they cover all the fees and the pickup info was in my inbox within 24 hours of requesting the payout. Totally painless and convenient

Mt 2 cents

Like the props
Dislike not being able to buy points
Juice sometimes too high, especially on moneylines, poor compared to some books
Good customer service - Wanted to cancel a play and they let me

Requested a payout in November - took 1 day!
Requested a payout after Super Bowl, the next morning 2/5 - no pay yet

Wouldn't mind continuing with them (have some pending proposition plays in NFL), but want to see overall culture of offshore environment before deciding, and want to here fedback from eveyone here regarding payouts in the next few months before next football season.

My lifetime profits at bodog have to be close to 6 figures. They used to have the best bonus in the business. Now you have to find tables full of choptalks to make any money.

Interesting. In my case, I aim to make one withdrawal every month since January.

In January, after the Pinny shut-down, I requested a w/d via "Money Transfer" (via WU). Then, after that weekend, they e-mailed me themselves and offered to change to the new "Check by Courier" w/d option which I accepted. It was about a week later where I got it via FedEx just fine.

For February, thinking about how January was not bad, I requested "Check by Courier" again. I requested it on the 14th, trying to be earlier in the month, etc. On the 21st, I politely emailed them and they advised me that "I should get the tracking number between 7-10 business days; and today's the 4th business day so you should get the info sometime next week". I told myself, "alright, I'll simply wait then."

They also shared information that they changed processors and no longer can offer "Check by Courier"; just "Check by Mail (Priority Post)" or "Money Transfer (Western Union)".

This morning was the 10th business day, and I emailed them again. They said that "due to a processor problem, they can't use that option anymore". Guessing the old processor screwed Bodog & now I told them to send it via Check by Mail. It'll be 5-7 more business days, but I don't see who's really at fault here anyway.

Question, PKJ. How do you deal with requesting the funds from a western union location? Do you ask for a check or request cash? Any issues with any transactions over $1K? Just wondering as I'm all ready to use WU next time for March w/d!!

I loved bodog but they dont have the deposit and withdraw options no longer that they had. their customer service is great and they do things really fast. whatever it is, payouts, etc. they told me they are working on bringing back those features back again but it will take some time.

ps it is true though that bodogs lines are somewhat low but OVERALL they re great!

Poker or sports betting? If it's the latter, I'm surprised they didn't close your account after you won your first hundred dollars! :lolBIG:

After hitting them in the casino last night, I put in a request to withdraw this morning and it was approved within 5 minutes. I have a Click2Pay account so it won't take more than 4 days.

I guess I just dont believe this BS about processor problems. They dont have the slightest little problem with deposits do they? Maybe I'll call them up and tell them I want to deposit and play, but please wait 17-20 business days before actually taking the money. I'l just tell them what a challenging time it is for me right now and maybe they will understand.

I had no problem getting my money from bodog. Made a credit card deposit on tuesday night. Got my winnings from WU over my lunch hour today. Quicker than I can get paid from my local.
