He's not a good enough shooter to be consistently clutch at the end of games, when teams don't allow him to just get to the hole with ease.

He'll still the occasional game-winner...but he'll never be as consistent as Wade, Melo, or others.

The guy should be a senior in college this year. I think it's safe to say the guy has time to impove.

THe guy can go to the hole anytime he wants - and in the playoffs, the refs let him hook, shove, etc...

When it is all said and done, Wade may give Jordan a run for best ever... Not yet, but 8 or 10 more seasons like last year...

wade is better than lebron, but wade also gets hurt way too much and needs to learn to shoot better from the outside. \

Lebron is lost. He can score 50 on pure talent alone, but when the game is on the line or he has time to think (at the foul line) he implodes every time. I dont think you can unteach the mental part of his game.

I agree. I think you're either born with it or not.

Wade and Carmelo have IT.... both were clutch in college and as rookies. Kobe wasn't clutch as a 17 year old rookie but he also wasn't scared to take the shot. Now he's one of the best at it.

I have never seen a superstar who refuses to shoot with the game on the line as much as Lebron. He claims he wants to get his teammates involved but..... as the leader you have to take that shot. Did Magic, Bird or Jordan pass the ball when the team needed a big shot? Hell no.....

They should've won though.

Don't know how you can say they should've won. They were behind the entire game and I don't think they ever had a shot to give them the lead. The three's Lebron missed were to tie the game.

If he had made the first FT then hit one of the 3s, they win. If he hits one of the 3s, they go to OT and who knows what might've happened.

Sure, I was glad he didn't make them because I had Cavs +9 but he did screw the Cavs ML and Over backers with his choke-job.

I guess you can always play the "what if" game. But who knows what the Mavs would've done had things gone differently. No doubt he needs to improve in the clutch, but the guy is so young I find it laughable for people to label him a choker for life. If I was you I'd be thanking him for that cover, they would've lost by double digits if he hadn't gone off for 39. GL

 He had 39 and pretty much single handedly kept them in the game tonight.
:puppy: I knew it would be interpreted in that way:ohno:

I meant his worst late game performance ever, but that didnt sound grammatically correct, so i just wrote worst game ever, but you know what i meant.

I hope :suomi:

It's not "what if"..... it's what should've been. How do you brick 4 shots in a row with a chance to tie or win? The team deserved another shot in OT to win the game especially after making a late comeback.

This is Lebron's 4th year in the league. You look at all the past and present superstars and they've all been clutch players by this time. Carmelo, Wade, Kobe, Garnett, Duncan, etc. In Lebron's career, he is something like 5-22fg in clutch shooting, not including FTs. You're gonna have to come up with a new excuse when he's still choking in his 10th season.

I think by his 10th season he'll be wearing a couple of rings, which would be 2 more than Garnett or Melo may ever get, and 2 more than Kobe or Wade have without Shaq. But that's jmo of course.
