Univ of Memphis has no shot to win it all

Just watched them play UTEP and they must be the worst free throw shooting team in the top 25. Come tournament time, in a close game, they won't last. Very athletic and hit the offensive boards hard but foul them and they are toast.

after watching that game I have to agree. Against a better rebounding team they will struggle as well, UTEP did not crash the glass hard enough on defense in my opinon.

They don't hit FTs, and if they play a team that actually has an interior defense they could be in trouble. Luckily, they have an amazing talent in Douglas-Roberts, and Hunt's shot is as pure as you'll see in the tournament.

I doubt I'll have them getting past the Sweet 16 in my bracket depending on the draw.

Since they're probably going to win out they've got a good chance to be a #1 seed with the possible upsets in the conf tourney's coming up. If you're filling out a bracket I wouldn't put them in the final 4. Weak conference has a lot to due with that 18 game winning streak.

It's a shame. I would like to see Calipari in a bigger conference so he could be measured against the top programs. IMO, he's a very good coach and recruiter. The Conference USA definitely does not help prepare him for March.

last night you watched a game where the opposing coach worked for cal for 7 years and played for him

he had his team ready for that style of game and with the bad free throw shooting stopped a blowout

memphis is deep, tall and alot tougher than previous years, last few years at end of games it was give the ball to carney and noone else did much, now its alot more organised than that.

i wouldnt judge them on that one game alone.
